I work in finance, for a stockbroker. There is no company in the world that doesn't "need more revenue". That's capitalism, baby. You are only as good as your last earning's report. I'm sure that GungHo Online Entertainment, which owns 51% of Supercell, would appreciate ALL new potential revenue. It didn't spend $2.1B to buy the controlling rights to the company to maintain the status quo.

Who will pay for this service? You? Great, we've got $10! How many more? 100? 1000? 2000? Great, $200,000 in revenue. For how much invested to create this system? How much to maintain it? How much to provide customer support? How much developer time to allocate it versus the game itself?

What is the profit margin for this? The game made them upwards for $1 BILLLION dollars last year. Why give themselves headaches with a new THING that may not even produce enough to make the effort worthwhile?

Again, they haven't even tried to do Merchandising yet and that's a much lower hanging fruit. Heck, they could just license it out to a manufacturer and distributor and call it a day. If they haven't taken the time to add that to their daily to do's, what you're asking for is far out of realm!

I don't understand why you're so concerned for the financial well-being of a company that is worth upwards of $6B.

I simply made a suggestion, in a forum called "Ideas & Feature Requests". All of a sudden you have determined that Supercell is too incompetent to source this in-house, doesn't have the internal expertise to design a website (although, this forum is pretty cool.. I wonder who they hired to code it), they don't have time due to other coding obligations, shouldn't do it because... you don't like the idea.

There are currently over 10,000,000 active users on this game. They earn over $1,500,000 a day.

There are currently 132 people that work at Supercell. I would assume that only a portion of them are involved in game design, while some of them do other things.. maybe one of them has some free time to look at a suggestion that could bring in.. according to your estimates if 2,000 clans signed up, $2.5M a year. If it works that well that could port it over to their other games, and potentially even make a bit more money.

What would the costs be? Based on their track record, I think Supercell could make it profitable.

Then again, it's just an idea. I thought ideas were welcomed in this forum.

Why are you so negative towards an idea that really has no bearing on you?
