Vote of no confidence on the leader

My idea is one to help clans with an inactive leader. I want to make it possible for the Co leaders to vote out the leader. It would have to be unanimous among all COs, and the outed leader would be demoted to CO or less. The normal game rule, that the most Sr Co leader gets promoted to leader when a leader leaves the clan, would then go in effect and you have a new leader. By making it a unanimous vote, leaders wouldn't be trolled out of their own clans as long as they promote people they trust. Also since COs can't kick out other COs trolls wouldn't be able to remove loyal COs. With the introduction of Clan Rewards, the age old solution of "just start a new clan" is not acceptable. Especially if everyone else is very active. No one wants to start back at Lv1 clan, especially if your at lv 4 or 5 or higher. Thx

If the leader is inactive - what exactly is the problem? The co's can start wars and promote people. If the leader is idle, just let him sit idle and don't put him in wars.

I bought the clan, I deserve leader, and I'm gonna stay that way unless I decide otherwise. If I wanna take a break, I will. If people don't like my breaks or my leadership, they can leave.

Not sure where the problem is... so the leaders inactive - what does it matter if you have active co leaders?....

Yeah, this is completely true and fair.

• But if the leader is a dink....
• Or abuses his authority
• Or is offensive in his handling and remarks to players...
• Or is in any way dragging down the entire clan everyone else worked to build up...
• Or if a really cool player joins giving out great troops and says he will stay if they vote him leader instead....
• Or if the leader has not shown up in a while...

Just all leave and form a new clan, if you don't want to lose your clan level just deal with it.

A properly ran clan doesn't need any Leadership overrides like this. Besides, Supercell can only add so much before it gets bogged down with features. Most issues can be more or less handled with what is currently avalible to players.

And the last good topic on unannounced inactive leaders was some given time of inactivity that will grant Leadership to the next active person based on some ranking order. Or after several months, the highest ranked players, (Co-Leaders, or Elders if no Co, or top several active people) can self promote as Leader.

This is more or less done in other games. If the Leader is missing for too long or fail to grant Leadership to another person before leaving, most games just auto promote right there.

Given how people are prone to just fading away, there should be some inactive timer thing for Leader transfer, with a few extra rules to help with fairness. Since there is Clan XP at stake, this should be added in. It wasn't an issue before, since all you lost was the small gold cost to make a clan. Now there are things of value attached to them, like XP and possibly Bookmarks people have of your clan if they are interested in it.

It should be simple, and quick, and of course, preferably as fair as auto-selections can be while staying practical.

Ooo, I like that idea too, auto transfer leader roll to next Sr member. After a reasonable amount of time.

This. Especially since Co's have all the power leaders do except for control over Co's. If the leader is inactive and you wish to remain in that clan just opt him out of wars and continue as normal.
