Prevent User in a current war from entering another clan.

So we sometimes get people from the clan we're warring with trying to join our clan to see our bases. If my previous idea of seeing a user's clan history isn't possible, then how about if you're currently in a war, and you leave that clan, you're not allowed to join another clan until that war is over? That will at least prevent some of the shenanigans that go on.

Do some research before starting a thread. This is a common topic and you have the management tools to remedy this situation. Asking SC to fix a non-problem will just cause real problems.

A spy doesn’t need to.come from the enemy clan. They just need to communicate with the enemy.

What shenanigans? You mean you accepting a completely random person then finding out theyre a spy? Sounds like a clan management problem really

You have the tools to do this yourself.

Simply close your clan once war is declared. Do not open till war finishes. Problem solved -- no possibility of being spied on.

If you decide no to do this, then expect spies - It is up to you and your clan leaders, not anyone else to fix.

It would also prevent anyone from leaving a clan to join another clan to donate/receive troops (and then coming back to battle).

And it would penalize anyone that leaves because the leader or other members are being total asses.

Like the last poster said...you have the tools to deal with this. Close the clan during war, or set to invite only and only let in players that you're sure aren't spies if you think it's such a problem. Or have everyone set up decoy bases and switch them at the end of prep day.

Until there is a way to search for a clan that might fit your play style it is a horrible idea to restrict clan movement. In my early days playing I would often be in 10 clans in a single day simply to find one that wasn't full of potty mouthed children requesting dragons only in their lvl2 castles. I certainly wouldn't have been very happy if they started a war in the first 15 minutes I was there before I figured out that it was not a clan that I wanted to be in.

Besides, many of us clan leaders very much enjoy hoppers. They are fun to boot and provide us a very visible way to show our dedicated clan members that we are actively looking out for them. We don't consider them a problem. More a source of amusement that is easy to deal with. Here are some of the unintended risks of trying to target them, the solutions that most of us have used to deal with them, and at the bottom is a still unanswered question.

No. This is a bad idea every time it is suggested because it will cause more, worse problems than "hoppers" already represent. Here is pretty much everything you need to know about dealing with hoppers. Both what will happen if you get your way and how everybody else has learned to deal with 99% of them quickly and easily.

First, SC has a long standing policy of not putting a negative statistic/badge/mark/rank/etc. of any kind on any players profile. They have a fairly strict no name-n-shame policy, as they should. You can accept those ideas as ruled out at face value.

Long story short, you are requesting a way to force people who don't want to be in your clan, who you don't even want in your clan, to be stuck in your clan. NOTHING good can come of this. Bad idea every time it is suggested.

Also, in an effort to not only help the OP understand the horrible repercussions of their idea, here is a list of many of the most common things successful clans do to prevent "D-bag hoppers" from being a nuisance (a nuisance, not a problem). Quoting myself from a recent thread again . . .

Others may chime in with additional ideas but those are the basic ones. Follow those and hoppers will end 99% instantly. Not to mention you will crack a smile when you apply your boots to their crack.

All of us clan leader types have experienced this and learned to preventing through our own leadership skills and clan rules. There is no need to institute a system that will punish the most social and giving players while making the lowest quality players more destructive.

In my time on the forum here I still have yet to see the answer to these simple questions. Why do you want to force somebody that you don't want in your clan, to be stuck in your clan?

You say they are "trying". That is to mean they are not succeeding. Good job sir!!! You have already solved what you were worried about..
