I had the same idea. It was met with opposition. I will repost my detailed thread.
There are two main points of opposition. First, SC has a strict "no name-and-shame" policy. They will never include any statistic that is can be directly used to make a player look bad. It would be a horrible business decision that would cost them millions.
The second main opposition is that the statistic you are asking for is really meaningless. The most helpful players in CoC change clans several times a week, sometimes several times each day. Sister, feeder and alliance clans need fluid movement to share troops, knowledge and leadership. Add to that the movement of people to visit friends in other clans and you will have a few "hoppers" with what you hope is a badge of disgrace when in reality it is the exact same badge that the leaders of the best clans around have. You are looking for a way to shame hoppers but most of the people who get marked are the exact opposite. As a result there would be no benefit to doing this.
It's not what you want to hear but at least you understand why so many are against it.
I'm wondering how just seeing what clans they were in would be shaming them? Or make them look bad? It's just a history or the clans you've been in. If I view it, and notice this person just jumps from clan to clan every day, then I can decide not to let them join. Or I see that they were in a clan we're warring with, then I can decide not to let them in. I'm not restricting their movement or harming them.
You've answered your own question.
By labeling someone a hopper, you're not letting them into your clan. They could be a very loyal and good player simply shopping for a good clan. What if the last 3 clans he joined were a bunch of slackers? Then he joins your clan and finds a great crew where he could be a valuable member, but you don't let him join because he's been labeled as a hopper by your feature.
