Newspaper

I would like to know how long are newspaper advertisements active as players that are not FRIENDS, in my neighborhood, Followers, Game Center friends or FACEBOOK friends keep buying stuff from my roadside shop even 3 days after placing my last newspaper advertisement.

I'm playing this game from the start in 2012 and never had this problem.
It's ♥♥♥♥ as I can't put materials in my shop for my neighborhood friends as it is bought by other players that I don't know EVEN IF I MAKE 100% SURE THAT I DID NOT ADVERTISE ANYTHING THAT I PUT IN MY ROADSIDE SHOP for more that 3 days. :mad:

Have you helped anyone else's farm with water or boat?They can shop for a couple of weeks.

That's got nothing to do with your farm roadside shop. The question I asked was for one of the MODS if they know how long the unwelcome buyers can buy stuff in my roadside shop.

Actually, my reply has everything do to with your roadside shop. If you have helped anyone else's farm they can visit your roadside shop for a couple of weeks using the last helper tab in their farm. That is why I asked you if you have helped anyone else's farm. If you did not understand my reply, you should have asked me to clarify. I apologize if my response was not clear. At level 101 I thought you knew about the last helper tab.

This is an open player forum. Mods are not always available so players use this forum to help one another. If you only want to talk to a mod, you should private message them.

Mods are currently thin on the ground - you could be waiting a long time. Meanwhile Farmer Clem's suggestion is very valid as if you help someone you (as you know) remain on their help list and they visit you and buy form your RSS whenever they choose. How long you stay on their list depends on whether they have a lot of helpers watering their plants or filling boat crates that push you off the list. If they have no new helpers, I believe it is said that you drop off their 'last helpers' list after about two weeks.

People can also visit you through the boat board.Limited to that day, usually.

I have seen some players say that there is a facebook facility that allows a player to 'like' your farm and then visit you through the link they find on their facebook page -- even though you have no control over that 'like' whatsoever. I hope that this has been or can be fixed. Time they can do this....? forever!

Newspaper ads stay up for just minutes once the item has been bought. Three hours (I think) if unbought.

So what you tell me is that if you helped anyone anywhere they get to bye stuff in your roadside shop for a unknown time period. Very strange, and how will they know when I'm selling stuff ?

Last helpers stay up for a few hours as far as I know.

Hi jedi

If you check your tab at the bottom of hayday where your friends and neighbourhood friends are, you will see another 2 tabs.

1 is followers people who are choosing to add your farm to their follow list and they can come in and out anytime on your farm (for reference you can delete them if you choose)

2nd tab is last helpers tab. It is here you will see the last maybe 10-20 people that have helped you with boats, revived trees/berry/bee bushes

It is here you will see that you can go to their farms until other people help you woth other things and then they get knocked off. A conveyor belt system.

They wont necesserily know when exactly you have things for sale but some people do flick through all their friends/followers & last helpers tab just to have a look.

Also if you ever do advertise in the newspaper and you ALSO have something you need help with like tree revival or boat help this will appear in the paper with an (!) on it :)

Yea I know about the followers and the last helpers. None of these are a problem, it's the players that buy and I don't even know how they knew when I'm selling upgrade materials to my neighborhood. This happens only when I'm selling upgrade materials and NOT when I'm selling normal stuff like Jam, cream, butter ect.

How soon after you place them in the trays do they buy them? Is it immediatly or sometimes a few minutes.

Apologies if this sounds like a very stupid question, but i have to ask.

Are you sure the tick has been removed from the 'Advertise in Paper' as sometimes i have done with thinking i have taken it off and i havent :)

If again this isnt the case either then i would suggest 2 things

1-dont sell any expansion items for a while (if you dont want to lose them for who its not intended), im not very clued up on the bot farms but im not sure if they can still steal stuff off your RSS even without advertising..

2 report this issue to supercell from within the game, this way they can retrieve as many details about your farm as possible (gold cog in top left)

One thing you need to be aware of is that supercell do say that anything placed in the RSS is up for grabs and a finders keepers game but if you think this is a bot or other game/glitch issue them i would report it too them.

;) you don't sound stupid. Yea I always make sure that I don't advertise my stuff.
Upgrade materials I put in my RSS are bought almost always immediately.

Well BOT farms are for lazy people so maybe they know something we don't know, in any case I've notice a private trade box for neighborhood members is something in the future, hopefully very soon ;).
