This update is simply separating the men from the boys, the casual players and those who play regular. More importantly, those who sit on collectors from those who attack to get better and power up, which is after all the name of the game. This update has the intention of pushing people to their th-appropriate league and working to stay up. I've heard people moan about how they can't be bothered or don't have the time to play a lot. Bottom line, if you want to fight and win and get better with a challenge, you'll play clash and get better. If you want to level up by turning up and just clicking sparkly 'collect' buttons....... Go play FarmVille or something instead.
Would you expect to win gold ahead of Usain Bolt just cos you'd bought a pair of running shoes and turned up at the stadium? No! You still have to train to get there. You'll either get there cos you're good enough or quit cos you aren't. That's what's called challenge.... Something people seem to have forgotten is what a video game is supposed to be.
