I cannot even put into words how tired I am of NEVER being able to revenge anyone. Why is it my obligation to sit and repeatedly hit Revenge over and over and over and not ever get the chance? Please, for the love of god, add an indicator on the Defenses screen of whether an owner is online or under shield, or not. Otherwise, what is the point of a Revenge feature if you cannot ever use it?!
As stated in Opening Post. Here are some solutions:
(These indicators load on opening reports - attack log)
- Player is online - Have a icon indicate online status (Like a open eye icon for online and a closed eye icon for offline)
- THEIR shield is active - Have a shield icon next to revenge.

Who said it's your obligation to revenge anyone? Just go attack someone else. Revenging people is mostly about getting lucky having them not online or shielded.Quote:

After thinking about this for a good long while, as I said before, the Revenge System is not what is broken. It is just getting ♥♥♥♥ to work with. It is the overall gameplay, namingly the often bitter sting of being raided and totally robbed of what can be possibly taken, regardless of how much effort you put into preventing it. You have to play psychologist to hope to have a good defence, tricking people into attacking a base that goes against what they have ready.
If you want to have a better revenge attacks, you need to have the game give you targets you can actually work with. 'Fixing' the Revenge system to work with the broken gameplay will just add more complications to it, and make it harder to fix the cause of the whole mess.

Another idea:
Use the scrolling system from Clan Wars for revenge.
You can "Visit" a player from your defense list, and have Next, Attack(Revenge) and Previous buttons at the bottom. Next and Previous to the players on your Defense log list. Attack (revenge) is only available when you can attack them (Eg. Greyed out when they are online or shielded). Also add the prompt that displays available troops to confirm the attack (like clan war). Additional information can be added like the resources and trophies they looted, resources you can loot (Like in matchmaking).

Some quick fixes they could add could include, #1 your shield does not drop while using a revenge attack. #2 If you 3 star them a set % of what they took from you could be given as a victory bonus. Obviously getting a revenge to work is annoying in and of itself, but minor changes like this would make it slightly better imo
It is unfortunately not that simple. :(
Granted, I may have missed something, but the odds of that being the case decreases as time goes on.
People are welcome to see what I, and others, have posted on the issue, but the answer I've gotten from all of it is that the revenge system isn't what should be fixed. Not being cawky[sic] or pretentious; it is just the answer I got from my efforts, and I have put a lot of effort into it.
Im fine with the current revenge system. I like the fact I have to press every button without being sure if there is a revenge or not. The unpredictably of it makes the game fun
