Testing your village layout

I think Supercell should allow us to simulate attacks against your own village, that way we would be able to test the strengths and weaknesses of our layout.
This will probably also have to be limited in one way or another to prevent simulating clan war attacks, revenge attacks, etc.

Ghosting is wrong, and this would be really unfair against opponents in war. You can just make the enemy base, and test it in any way. 24 hours you can find an attack that works so I'm against this.

Why test it yourself when you can let other plays test it through random matches. Show he world your invention

This is currently in the "Ideas under consideration" section of the sticky. If you read the sticky first it will help prevent you from beating a dead horse.

I am against this, I think a big part of the game is having to get attacked then adjust your defense, then get attacked, then adjust your defense, and so on.

You clearly didn't read what I said, you can make their base and attack it yourself. He didn't mention any way to stop you from making their base did he?

He obviously means, limited some way to prevent you from simulating clan war attacks.
Sorry my wording wasn't exact enough for you, I thought any rational person could understand that you would be limited in some way so you couldn't build their base and simulate a clan war attack.

Sorry my wording wasn't exact enough for you, I thought any rational, sane person could understand that you would be limited in some way so you couldn't build their base and simulate a clan war attack.

Well I hope you can support him in finding a way for this to work well x) Any sane person could do that

I already said I am against being able to simulate attacks, I think it takes away from the game.
