Even if it isn't active all the time, who cares? It's their gold used to make the clan. Most of these threads are started by someone who thought they had a unique , never before thought of , once in a life time clan name.... Then when they make the clan they see 75 others had the same unique idea. Notice that multiple clans with the same name is listed as one of the reason in the OP?

This is what I mean you make a clan with a very unique name, you grow, you get good, then you see a bunch of other clans that copied your name; not to mention that most of the fanboy clans have 1 person in them. I think Mega Empire is the best example of this. There literally must be 1000 clans with the name Mega Empire just because of the one Mega empire Clayton made. A clan name with a name for example clashers would be a different scenario, the clan name is unoriginal and just overall stupid, all the 1 person clasher clans should also be disbanded.

Maybe not disbanded but just taken off the search results?

Thank you, you just led me to an even better idea. Instead of private/public I think it would be better understood if it was called Public/Hidden. This way 1 person clans would be switched to Hidden one time and they would they have to change it to Public themselves also ensuring that they are active. This way military Jim would never loot his clan XP, clan level, or clan. It would not hurt anyone while still cleaning up the clan search list and will make clans easier to find just searching the name.

This has nothing to do with them copying your name. They can still do that and then they are trying to use it to help them recruit. That's not an inactive clan so it will remain.

So filter off the clans with one member and you get that.
