Having an account here- is important for being a part of the community as a whole.. makes you see more than just our little clan.
You have been doing very well in game - helping above and beyond what members do.
Summary steps to earn your elder:
1: your war stars are a bit below the 40 required- 6 stars pre war in a few wars will allow you to skip the 40 requirement. I will start watching your war attacks closely for the next few wars; i will compare your stars per attack vs how high or low you go on mirrors... (atacking really low to help the clan last war - is a good thing and appreciated)
2:-You'll have to recruit a couple more players and get them trained up - collect their names as you find them... at least walk them through the first 3 steps.. (1 - rule - 2 - how to lure and 3 - share a replay) I see you helping new people in game - so 'proving' that you are training is not required; but swimming in the much of global to find good players - try to talk in global once every time you log in.. and check back to see if any are clan shopping (in range for any of our clans) - an AG3 recruit is just as good as a NM one in my book.
3:
Attack styles -- Surgical deployment is key with any troop combo; holding back a couple reserve troops till last minute... etc. -You'll need to learn surgical loon deployment - or surgical hogs - I suggest watching the Onehive Tutorials
Winter is very good with Loon attacks; they can be tricky (especially at low levels) learning the basics of loons allows you to be ready for LavaLoon at th9 - and allows you to use a handful of loons in all types of attacks.. GoVaLoon - Goho with back end loons... taking 4 to 6 loons into battle - with skill - can be the difference between 2 star80 and 3 stars... So your good with dragons... (easy enough) - learning hogs.. - lets see you do something skillful wit your loons - and of course general ground attacks... using Giants / barch wiz/healers
an elder must be good with a variety of attacks; and skilled with all the units you have access too... Request some Max valks - witches and other odd things in the next week or so -AFTER you read the wiki - and watch videos on how to use them... lol dont go wasting expensive dark troops;
4:I need to be sure that you know how to learn and grow on your own. Favorite youtube channel... - you stated that you learn best in game -- but youtube videos are the bread and butter... Watch Jake from State farm/-- i mean One hive - his videos are entertaining and well done... many others make great vids as well -- these guys scout out the latest tips and tricks - veryhandy things can be found with a 5 minute video to improve your performance by 20%
General learning can be broken down this way:
10% spent on the Wiki page -
http://clashofclans.wikia.com/wiki/Clash_of_Clans_Wiki
10% spent in supercell forums browsing various topics
10% spent on Youtube tutorials from Onehive/ powerbang/clash with ash and countless others
10% learned in our Groupme room
10% learned 1 on 1 in game with another players help
50% trial an error on your part
You have the trial and error - the groupme -and personal time in clan down... you need to spend more time referring to the wiki page - supercell and youtube. THIS is where you get that fine print extra skill that is elusive in game...
5: you should visit AG2 or AG3 at the start of one of their wars; and you should click the Clash caller link in AG3's chat room to see how it is used... I'll add yo to their room so you can scroll up and see them.
6: I need to be sure that you have a mid-level working knowledge of base design - and that you can learn more advanced base identification stuff... meaning - What army to use on each type of base...
Hogs -
GoHo
GoValoon
LavaLoon
Gowipe / with (hogs or loons - never just a plain gowipe)
each of these can either fail - or succeed and depending on the base - one may work and another would be a guaranteed fail.
Low levels its easy..
Ground -
Loons
Dragons
Hogs
Once your at th8/9 - it gets trickier... You simply need to identify an ANTI-whatever base by a quick glance...
little things like - is the xbow in the air? or on ground
is the inferno on single? or multi?
That is a little beyond the scope of elder training - but the base building end of it - and rudimentary identification of attack team choices vs the base is required.
So in summary-
1: war stars - i will verify this starting now over the next couple wars2:
2: recruits
3: I want to see 3 star replays showing the following attacks:
3a ground with Giants/wiz/healers
3b skilled use of Loons - 40/60 archers and the rest all loons..
3c surgical deployment of elite units -- proper use of Valks - Witches - wallbreakers (yea using them can be tricky but good use will get you into a core.. bad use will get them dead before they hit the wall)
4: Tell me something new you learned on:
4a: wikki page
4b: supercell forums (most likely something from our training topic on page 1;?)
4c youtube
5: verify you can use clash caller without messing up and stealing someones base...
6: When you visit AG3 - ask me or another leader/elder if they have time to go over each base on the war map - and tell you the best type of army to use against each base... - along with what army that base is designed to repel.
Should take you a week or so to finish all this I think; Then I'm confident that you will be a solid - well rounded player worthy of elder rank.
