- Patience
If you think the Spells take too long to finish, then you haven't learned how to be patient (or you can't really stand waiting 30 minutes?)... CoC is a game about patience and strategy. Mainly patience.
Reducing spell cook times dramatically would affect the flow of raiding and preparing your army, however I think that the cooking times could be decreased by 5-10 minutes each as waiting for spells during war time can take much longer than your troop training, thus causing you to use gems to speed up the process or waiting.
How about spending gems to cook them instantly :)

the problem is, you could farm sooo much with the armies boosted by spells that it would make defending nearly useless.
