TH9 Farming

I hit TH9 on Monday, and I'm not really used to it yet. I'm going to start farming at around 1700 cups, and if you could tell me if that's a good place. Also, is getting recked by all these maxed TH9s and 10s going to continue? If you could help that would be great. Thanks.

UPDATE: Hit gold 2 today, going to go around 1700 cups. Should I stay here or maybe go to gold 1/crystal 3?

I hit TH 9 on Monday. Hanging out around 1550 cups with exposed TH. I've only been wrecked once by a TH10 once. Mostly just get sniped.

I've also kept gold low sinking them into the 25 new walls. Farming for DE is tough though as I usually Giarch for it but with no spells it is tough. Lab and spell factory finish Sunday. Other two builders are doing storage and early defense upgrades so I can have a free builder often to so walls when I build up gold.

Once the lab is finished I'm going to immediately do balloons. Then as builders come free I am going to try to do all the camps ASAP. Again sinking all gold into walls as I only had about 50 skulls done.

Anywhere in gold is good gold/elix farming. I like G2 & try not to fall below 1400 cups. If you're rushed you'll get killed forever by max th9s but if you were an almost maxed th8 then it will stop relatively soon.

Get those wiz towers maxed quickly to prevent BARCH.

I maxed all my TH8 defenses except teslas, and had all level 7 walls. I am going to go in this order: Mortars;Wizard towers;everything else.

I stuck my builders on the two xbows, lab, spell factory and lvl 5 dark barracks. I am going to balloonion or lavaloonion, as I did a lot of loonion at town hall 8, and I used it to get to 2100 cups. The hard part will be farming up 5 million elixir and keeping hold of it from these maxed out town hall 9s and 10s. Thanks for replying!

giant lvl6 maybe top priority to earn de + elix . but since you loonion from th8 you may get those black loon . me myself th + ( rusher ) and no problem at all farming those 6m elix . hoping you get that loon soon . loonion with healing spell is my combo for farming .

I hung out in Crystal3 for the first 4 months of TH9 and did great there with GiBarch lvl 6. You get TH sniped very often in Crystal with very few all-out attacks on you.

OK, that sounds good because with the new update I've been crushed every time I broke my shield.

With my TH outside, I rarely get wrecked. I got my new defensive buildings up to TH8 level quickly, but the only defenses I've really upgraded beyond that are X-Bows (after I was TH9 for about a month, I built them and upgraded them to level 3 directly), Teslas, and traps. Teslas and traps don't deter attackers, obviously, since they can't see them.

I've been staying in Crystal lately because I'm emphasizing DE to upgrade dark troops and heroes, but the gold and elixir farming totally stinks in Crystal in my experience.

I can't build anything yet due to the fact that my shortest build time remaining is 3 and a half days, but when they get done I'm going to get my wizard tower and air defense up, then my archer tower, then my storages. After I got above 1500 cups today, I immediately noticed how much less I was getting recked. Now the only problem is that I have no idea how to get to the loot I plan on finding at 1700 cups.
