DE Drills

Hey guys, lvl 103 th 9 here.
I'm almost done TH9... with an exception to one thing, dark elixir.
My DE troops are minions5, hogs3, valks1, golems3, witches1, hounds1.

My BK is 18 AQ is 17.

I'm really hoping I can finish heroes ASAP.

Should I boost my DE drills?

(60 gems a day?)
I have 1815 gems and I don't think I can use em on anything else other than gemming DE or boosting drills.
Also, how long does it take for a lvl 6 DE drill boosted to fill up cause I don't want the drill to be full and not producing DE.

Drill is 100 per hr unboosted, 1800 max, so 18 hrs. Boost is double, so 200 per hr, 9 hrs max.

Depends on yer league choice impo. If yer in M1 with 900 DE bonus.. no boost really needed and id use the gems for AQ boost perhaps.
If ye gather DE fast then possibly gemming finish time on a hero if ye already gained enough for both at once and have enough to start next.
Reall6 depends on how much playtime you have. If not much, then boosting drills could be worth it. If a lot, then gemming hero time and or boosting aq/barracks might be better

Waste of gems. You'd be better off using gems to boost barracks/spell factory/heroes and farming in a higher trophy league.

I agree that, there is more profit in boosting your barracks spells & heros and attacking a lot on high leagues. A couple of times when I get to sleep, I left the drills boosted to "compensate the time you sleep and can't farm" haha, but, I think it's not worth that gems...

Why spend 60 gems to boost your DE drills, when you could get that much in 1 simple attack? Hell, you could even zap someone for 1500+ DE. I don't think it's worth it to boost those, when you could boost your barracks for cheaper. If you are in a higher league, you'll profit from the loot bonus too.

I agreee ^^^^ waste of gems boosting drills, just boost barracks and farm in mid crystal league. Last night i farmed 30K DE, thats 2 weeks worth of boosted drills.....

Waste of gems. You need giants to penetrate deep DE storage. Bring wallbreakers + giants or bring healers to go deep into the base to grab those DE. Do not over estimate yourself. Better to click next in search for an easier base than to fail an attack.

I think people are failing to grasp that 2 max DE drills boosted are putting out 9600 DE/day just sitting. That isn't counting raiding, that isn't counting league bonuses....it's just sitting.

Now compound that 9600 on top of raiding, high league farming, etc.

60 gems a day? Big whoop. Most top players spend at least $300/month and thats just gemming instant troops to maintain.

It's going to cost you much more than 60 gems/day to farm in masters efficiently anyway.

Want the highest amount of DE possible? Boost drills, boost barracks, boost royals, boost spells, and farm in Masters. That is going to be the fastest way at gaining a large of amount of DE quickly, though those 1800 gems or so won't be lasting long.

90 gems will boost everything, plus another 60 gems per day for the drills. So you are looking at about 150 gems/day at least if you go that route. More if you boost longer than one 2hr session per day or gem instant troops.

Now if you are going to boost everything and farm in Masters in multiple 2hr sessions per day...only then does it become not quite as beneficial to boost drills as the extra 60 or so gems it costs per day in drills will pay for additional boosted raid sessions which can more than make up for the boosted drill production.

1800 gems or so gives you essentially 20 boost sessions to raid, or 30 boosted DE drill sessions.

30 days of boosted drills are approx 144k DE extra on top of your normal production in that period. 20 boosted raid sessions in Masters can more than make up that 144K also.

Ideally though you should boost the drills as well as boost for raids. That is going to be your most efficient way of gaining DE and lvling royals quickly though it will be demanding on gems.
