The only imbalance that existed was TH7 vs mass dragon spam.. The easy fix would be to give TH7 the third AD that you get at TH8..

Problem solved. Then you would actually get variety in attacks at TH7.

3 starring th8 as a th8 used to be ridiculously easy, you couldn't spam the drags like at th7 but with proper pathing almost any th8 would be 3 starred by drags/dragloon

That is the most unhelpful thing that they could do. this idea is not smart at all

That's would just create more imbalance. settle with the two ads be thankful of your hair dryer and then put your teslas in the corner

A third AD would help, but even that wouldn't be enough. A TH7 just doesn't have enough other defenses to stop a mass drag attack, even with a third, relatively low level AD. A TH8 can't even stop a goo dragloon attacker until they get a good AD666 configuration.

Something really needs to be done about TH7 mass drag raids. I have a TH7 low account, and wars really aren't much of a challenge. I can 3 star any TH7 without even thinking about it, and it's not much harder for about half of the TH8s. In that clan, which is all TH6-8, with the exception of 1 TH9, I can usually easily 3 star all but the top 1-3 bases, and I'm #7 in the ranking.

TH7 is supposed to be 3 starred by other TH7s, learn to deal with that and makes sure to 3 star all the other TH7s as well in the bottom of the map.

Our TH7s are also 3 stared by dragons, no big deal.

The fact that the base is your mirror DOES NOT necessarily mean it is equivalent to your base.

We go over this all the time on here...the matchmaking system does not pair #1 base to #1 base, and #2 base to #2 base, and #3 base to #3 base, on down the line, it pairs a CLAN up with another CLAN. Your mirror may be stronger or weaker than you.

Additionally, your ranking on the war map is based on your defensive/base strength, your matchmaking weight includes heroes and troop levels...so the order your clan ranks on the battle map will not necessarily be same order as your weight for war matchmaking.

Probably if you can almost always three star your mirror you are a TH8 or lower, or maybe a TH8.5, and you have most likely upgraded your offense/heroes to a 'higher level' than your defenses.

I believe now that a max TH8 with good placement of air defenses and air sweeper is a very hard target for TH8 dragloon, but most are not max and generally have some weakness that can be exploited.

I've heard the same thing over and over. I spent the better part of my 600 cw stars in TH8 getting three stars with dragloon twice a week. Its not quite as simple as watching a youtube video and proclaiming it easy to three star. After decembers update it was a huge change to dragons. People didn't walk over upgraded TH8s. Its the new twitch culture of gamers. You watched a video and assume that's how the game is played.
