New Troop: Rage Twins - new game mechanic
Ok, this may be a bit of a hair brained idea. But what the heck. It can't be too much terribly worse than some of the stuff out here (or could it?).
Also, I'm hoping you all can give some good suggestions to help define the troops stats. I will do my best to keep this post updated.
So here's the basics....
Every rage twin has an equally powerful rage twin in another dimension. When a set of twins gets close enough to each other they can fuse together and then do hella damage.
In your army camp you would have 1 rage twin. When it is put into play, the other twin (we shall call him the shadow) also comes into play on the opposite side of the base. So if I play my rage twin on the left corner, his shadow appears on the right corner.
By themselves neither the rage twin nor his shadow do any damage. And they know this. And so they walk towards each other. During this time they can take damage. When they reach a certain proximity of each other they spend about 4 seconds casting a fusion spell which unites the twins into one fearsome troop. And then they go berserk on the nearest structures.
Should either the twin or the shadow be destroyed before uniting the remaining twin continues to roam the base in search of his long lost twin.
Some of the good things this troops brings to the game:
• a new game mechanic and new strategy. When using the Rage Twins the attackers priority becomes clearing a path and protecting the twins.
• a new consideration for defenders. Defense becomes more complicated as you are no longer focused on solely ppl rotating the town hall.
Some things need clarity:
• If the twin start on the extreme opposite sides of the base, the implication is they meet in the middle. If you've already cleared a path for them to meet in the middle you've likely already wiped out the base rendering the rage twins pointless. So should they just start within a specific proximity of each other?
• When placing the first twin down, what happens if the spawn point for the shadow is blocked by a structure?
• Do the Hit Points reset when the twins fuse together? This may have implications on how many hit points they start with.

So there ya go. Thats my crazy idea for a new troop. Hit me up with questions and suggestions for improving the idea.
