Slumming down to the Minors

After reading various whines about the update making it "too hard" to find good farming bases, I decided to drop from Crystal 2/3 and drop down to the Minors and slum it checking out the claims. (note: most of my TH8 time was Crystal, very occasionally dropping to high trophies Gold l. I like the challenge of quality competition)

I'm almost two months into my TH9, having max'd my 8 and starting with full storages ( immediately getting X Bows, bringing new stuff up to grade, level 6 giants and Archers and upgraded wiz towers. It's nice having all skulls, everything max'd and 6 mil of gold and elixir and 40k DE starting a 9 :-) ).

First off, the attacks have been 90% barch. My base eats those attacks as a pre breakfast snack. Seems that's what the main armies are in the Minor Leagues. I'm going for hours off line without being attacked. In Crystal, I saw a variety of army compositions and the base would be shielded within minutes if I had any loot worth taking.

Second...y'all call these defenses????? No wonder barch is the only army used. Jumpin Jehosaphat...9s with purple walls and TH8 defenses. 10s with purple walls, low level X Bows and inferno towers. And camps filled for a barch army. Jeesh...a solid mixed army rolls through these bases like a starving dog in a hamburger factory.

Loot...I don't take on 8s...too easy. And with the cost needed at 9, I'm finding tons of loot with poor base defenses against a mixed TH9 level army.

I dropped to 1300 trophies before guilt overrode curiosity and amazement at the level of TH 9s and 10s. It's back to.the Majors for this guy...it was becoming boring slumming in the Minors. Ugh...

As for the whiners, let me know where to send cheese to go along with yer whining and sniveling.

I think to show how incredibly inefficient he is at farming?

Lol, you don't attack th8s because they are too easy.... Oh yeah, I'm sure you pass up the 150k+ th8s . There are people in every league that can level your new th9, so dont get too ♥♥♥♥y. You are one of those minor leaguers in the higher leagues.

Yeah not sure if i'm understanding where you're coming from OP? Was this to prove a point? If so maybe start a new thread with actual content that is relevant to anything...

I guess you feel like since crystal league is the highest you've achieved that that is the big leagues huh?

To me - if we are comparing to the baseball hierarchy - this is how it goes:

Majors: Champions league
AAA: Masters
AA: Crystal
High A: Gold
Low A: Silver
Short Season A/rookie: Bronze

So you are basically still slumming it up in the minors.. I can barch all day in crystal 1-3 as a TH9. Get up to masters/champions and you will look less foolish with your "look at me" posts.

Good point. I place Crystal as a "major" since it's where you begin the DE bonus, it's a demarcation of the end of Barch being an effective attack, and the attacks against the base are more sophisticated in make up than simplistic armies of Barch.

Rather than baseball,I'd liken the leagues to college football...the Power Five Div 1, Division 1, 2, 3.

The point being...those complaining about the update being so terrible because they can bully the little guys with mindless repetitive attacks of Barch... That they have to actually think of a good army composition, and even (gasp) have a defense are without argument minor leaguers who have the mental perscapicity of a house fly.

It came across as bragging...but the thrust was if you use strategy and build a decent base you don't get laughed at or ignored when complaining. The complaints are exactly the issue the newest updates address. Beating up little guys by mindless Barch attacks of higher level troops.

And addressing a previous post...no, I don't attacks lower THs unless they zap my DE, are abandoned, or going to 9 while still and undeveloped 8.

What you are showing is a lack of ability to farm efficiently. I barch and bam constantly in crystal farming de and resources. And you not attacking lower th's doesn't show that you are good just insufferably proud. I farm to get resources. The formula for farming is what is the fastest, cheapest attack that will give me the most resources per hour. I leave the complex attacks for war where they belong not to showboat how I can beat up base that have a bunch of defenses under construction.
