So I am about a half maxed th9 and I am getting bored of waiting 1 week for a builder to free up my question is should I do a wall grind with one free builder I currently have 160 lvl 7 walls and 90 lvl 8 walls and need to finish off my archer towers and air defenses my queen is upgrading to 10 so her ability will get better the question is what should I do continue with defenses or leave a builder free for walls?

I always leave one for walls and one for heros, I use the other 3 for defences as i have maxed all no defensive buildings
That is what I have been doing. I usually do 1 TH9 def and then 7-8 lvl8 walls. I never have all 4 going at once.
I would leave that builder free for walls

I tend to do walls right at the beginning.
Every time a builder opens up I do a few walls, then a building.
That way when I'm done defenses I don't have to do ALL my walls.
Currently done defenses with about 100 more legos to buy.
Leave a builder free, you will be fine!
I've been th9 for 6 weeks tomorrow, and i currently have 77 skills left to go towards legos. My goal was to have full legos before my defenses were all maxed (not even halfway there lol).
What i do: i stockpile resources and try to always have 2 days in between a free builder (i have 5). So in those 2 days i try to farm up about 8mill resources combined. And Then i level up about 3-5 walls before upgrading a defense or a Hero (lvl 10 AQ tomorrow! #cheer!)

You should. Aim for minimum level 8 walls as TH9

Hey, if you had maxed your town hall 8 you wouldn't have this problem. I'm currently doing lvl 10 wall on my TH9 base. When it comes to war for a TH9, wall is very important! defences might be maxed but if your donning purple wall your screwed! Check out our uk clan: Rockalls. And remember, NO RUSH!
Leave one builder out for walls, especially with the new raiding system if you stack loot until your builders are free then you will get looted for a lot of resources, better to attain and spend them asap.
Agree with everyone, I always leave a builder free (unless on hols and i've tended to load up builders with long time or annoying builds (like barracks)).
95 legos left, but I've got 10 lavas done for the core. It's all relative... legos actually feel quite easy now!

Walls are horrible! I'm almost on maxed out TH8, but still have about 20 walls left to get to purple. It's taken me weeks and weeks to get them this far, I want to get them to skulls before going to TH9 as well, I feel it's going to take forever though! My last remaining upgrades are Tesla's and AD to max level, so all over 2m gold each. I have nothing left to spend elixir on :(
Yes walls instant gratification and then there's not having any loot for anyone to steal walls and heroes are the way forward. I keep a builder free if I know I'm not busy and do 2/3 defenses at a time atm I'm doing my wiz towers and db and maxing my de drills. I know this is a bit silly but I have been upgrading both heroes at a time save me time but it does suck having to be benched for war but i like things to b even a bit of OCD isn't that bad is it......good luck with your wall journey
Your you need to catch up with your walls if you have maxed defenses.
