He rushed to Town Hall 10, and my question is...CAN HE RECOVER? If so, HOW?!?! He's been with us since the beginning and I want him to become good at the game, but I need some suggestions. If he needs to restart let me know what you think but I really just want to know if it is possible and not too long to recover as a rushed TH10?

First of all
1. Get your fukin resources in the middle of your base.
2. Get your TH outside your base.
3. Drop to Silver and farm LAB/ troop upgrades for BARCHERS.
4. Do not upgrade any more defenses.
5. Focus on Army camp upgrades.
6. Get your spell factory upgraded.
Finally once all your offensive stuff is at TH10 max then focus on upgrading defenses, starting with splash i.e wiz towers and mortars.

Go read some rushing advice. To clarify, your friend is more of a premmie than rusher. Morgauth and SinOfDusk are good places to start. Your friend basically needs to pretend defenses don't exist and act like a rusher until offense has caught up. Offense should always be ahead of defenses regardless of maxer vs rusher opinions, and rushing is basically "how to get your offense up fast".
Once he gets to Barb/Archer 5 life will start feeling better. It will be a slow grind to get things fixed (one to two months?), but he can get there. If he wants to fix things, he will need to start raiding more. His total win count is pretty low.
One possible difference with kanerossnz's advice. I'm not sure that Silver is the right league, but it is a solid place to be. League bonus might be easier to farm with low level troops since he's already in Crystal 2. (50k/50k per win right now, gets bigger if he snipes up higher). He will be raided just as much regardless of league, it comes down to where he can farm resources easier.
