Champion League - Loot Bonus Farming

WARNING: This method is obsolete and is no longer valid.

This method might become obsolete in the next update, so take advantage of it while you still can!

This method still works perfect for Town Hall 9 and below. However, for some reason the amount of snipes almost gets down to none after you pass the 3200 threshold. So, even though the new matchmaking algorithm has been modified to include the champion league (and higher), you would still need to snipe below 3200:

Step 1: Pass the 3200 cups milestone to reach champion league.
Step 2: Look for a base with DE on the corner (there are quite common, in fact), take the DE then surrender to drop trophies.
Step 3: Snipe THs without paying attention to your current trophy count, using only your Hero and/or Archers if necessary.
Step 4: Once you pass 3200 cups, got back to Step 2.
Step 5: Repeat if necessary.

NOTE 1: Do not attempt to drop trophies by losing a defense, the snipes are extremely common below 3200 for a TH9 that you could get back above 3200 from 3150 in less than an hour.
NOTE 2: An average TH sniping session (getting 3200+ from ~3100) takes about 1 to 2 hours.
NOTE 3: Your resources will probably be maxed out before hitting the cups threshold.

This method is extremely effective for farming DE as each snipe nets you 1200 DE alone. If you farm TH snipes below 3200, you will always gain MORE gold than you lose by nexting (as a TH9).

How long is it in between snipes

What clan are you in id like to see your base?

Instead of always losing a defence to drop below 3200, why not lose an offence? Either go for a cheap loot raid without hitting 50% or drop a hero and surrender

1) If you're below TH9, you'd most likely lose the defenses anyway.
2) You'll max-out anyway, so why not help a few others by giving away the extra loot?
3) If you fail an attack, you won't get a free shield. So you should lose a defense to get shield instead.

Last time that I was cupping I could only find 1 snipe an hour max..

Of course it is, when your a th8 or even th9 you'll mostly only find your own th level cause of the changes made to the matchmaking system, this means you'll almostly only get 1 cup th snipes from other th8 or 9's far below you.

Interesting, didn't expect that the amount of available snipes would have been increased by that far.
Just finished my lego walls so might give it a go hehe, getting the 2k gems is also a nice addition :cool:

A TH10 in a league that is mostly TH10 will notice nearly no difference while nexting. This (in reverse) is also why some high TH are dropping down to Bronze/Silver. It's the new sub200 since high level TH are no longer able to hide from searches. (it's easier to drop trophies to stay there and the bases aren't totally inactive, so some storages for more loot)

TH9 might not notice much difference, but there should be some. It depends on how hard the search works to find a TH9 versus TH10.

Yup, i spoke of this on the first day of update. it seems an anomaly for when you have the Champion League badge yet you are under 3,200 cups. I am near max TH8 at 3,151 trophies and all of a sudden the bases were winnable TH9's and some TH8's, maybe a snipe or two even. I did 1.7M loot bonus in an hour. I was seeing people down in Crystal 1 even....

Unfortunately the wins are 1-4 trophies but the defense losses are 22-36 on average as many TH9 and 10's still find me, so it will weight the TH8's and lower out. Currently i am Masters 1 at 3,040 seeing if i can get back up which seems impossible.

Well I'm definitely doing this when my second acct hits th8

Can confirm it still works and wasn't a lucky coincidence after the update. Just did it for the 6th time, this time I've failed 3 attacks (-19, -39, don't remember) but still climbing up was rather easy.

Yes, because attacks are found on descending order (based on trophy count) with occasional dips upward. The more you next, the weaker the bases will get which in turn offers less trophies. If you return to village, it will reset.

Accomplished for the 8th time, do it twice each day and you're guaranteed to remain in Champion League forever. All attacks were TH snipes, most of them gave 1 trophy.

King+Archers main. Drags as failsafe, in case you encounter tesla traps.

So are you getting into champions, winning raids to get loot bonus, then dropping back out of champions when you log off for the day? Basically using loot bonus to fill your resources?

The reason for this is because TH snipes are almost non-existent above 3200 but very common below the threshold (thanks to the new algorithm).

Been trying to get to Champions for the last week and I can say that exposed town halls are not that common in the 3000-3150 range right now. Your luck may vary but if I find more than 1 a day I am considering myself very lucky.

How easy is it to find 50% wins from outside buildings?

Well, I've been doing it since the update every day. 1-3 trophy snipes are quite common, you can easily fill up your storages doing it before hitting 3200 from 3150. I'm TH8.

So for 1-2 hours of snipe.. you can fill up all of your storages?

Yes it does seem like a good plan to max everything, but if anyone ever looks at your profile they'll see your GG and EE is really low since they don't account for league bonuses. That'll most likely lead to them assuming you're a gemmer which gets annoying when you're not.

Good idea in theory but bad if you want a decent looking GG.

Would there be similar results for a th9?

Well, I've never bought any gems. I can't buy even if I want to anyway.

Think I'll retry this strategy at th9 or very late th8, got to crystal 1 but just found it so hard to find a th8 in the same league as me.

Instead of nexting, go back to village and search again. First 1-3 targets will always be high-trophy offers.

GG might be a bit lower, but reaching champs counts for something. GG doesn't mean too much anyway as you can just get that from barching lower level th.

I can't seem to understand what these two achievements have to do with anything...?:confused: Also, who cares if others call him a gemmer? I've never spent a single cent on the game anyway.

when i was th5 i sniped my way up to master3 but took me a full week to do so...

Actually, my new base has all storages/mines on the edge, along with TH so I get free 14 hour shields everytime. No one would bother 3-starring a bunch of defences stacked on CC and I don't care about the resources since I get them back every time.

This works as the - got to champs last night. The de is incredible. I have boosted witches and it's over flowing. Bk sent to sleep when it got to 100% and aq is going soon.
Also making enough for about 3 legos per hour

I meant League Loot Bonus (180k coin/wine + 1.2k DE) on each snipe. Outside THs are rather easy to find after the update (I'm TH8).

1) ONLY use your King/Queen to snipe, always have your rax/camp filled with DRAGONS (2 are enough for 4 teslas) and carry Rage spells.
2) If you go back to village and start a new search, the first 1-3 targets will usually offer a lot of trophies (+30).
3) If you keep nexting, you will eventually find a rushed TH8s with terrible defences worth +20 trophies, just 3-star it with mass drags.
4) Put all your storages, especially DE outside and stack defences on top of CC/TH so you only get 1-starred each time.

It's hard enough with max troops at TH9, I would imagine this would be beyond frustrating and boring for a TH8. Once you hit high C2, you are gonna pretty much rely on TH snipes, and those could be rare. I still don't understand anyone below TH10(maybe max TH9) putting their TH inside, but whatever.

I was near champ just 4-5 days ago as a th9, and in 8-9 hours of play on the weekends I'd find generally 1-2 snipes overall. Not the first clue how you've found so many, makes no sense to me. I'd get one every 2-3 hours, usually took 10-30 minutes to find a base I could take with loonian.

Damn son! You're town hall 9 I'd assume from that... what are you using up there that's so successful? I didn't get a ton of wins up there, using loonian I'd raid about every 30-40 minutes and get ok loot if I won... my problem is I'd raid for a few hours, go up 25 cups, then get one 48% loss and my entire days gains would be gone all in one shot.

does it still work? Im trying to get to champ league as well. Currently sitting at C2. Been struggling to get to C1 tho :(

Not necessarily. With a barch army, I can snipe THs every few minutes or so and make around 600k just from the bonus alone. Not to mention those idiots who place traps and teslas near their TH. Just take down the teslas with a few barch then siege their village and snipe a few of their storages. Repeat and profit.

Yes th9
I train gibarch with witches to reduce training time. 1 rax giants, 1 barbs, 2 arch, 2 witches. Also try keep 8 wb.
Search for th snipes while you wait for army to train. Avoid max th9s but you should be able to win against mid th9 and below. If you've got time to boost, do heroes, spells and dark barracks. You will still make lots of de. Boosting regular barracks is a waste as you could be nexting for 10-20 minutes. You will frequently come across ready targets with lots of loot to make even more profit. In 2 hours I make profit of about 6M each of gold and elixir and 20k de.

I used to make more profit boosting barch around 2000 cups, but I don't have time to boost I often so one average I make more profit in champs. For de, there is no comparison, champs rule

I only sniped when reaching camps for the first time, nothing else. I used archers and giants (against teslas).

I will pray to the clash god's that I find your base especially considering I'm sitting around 2930 so you'd be offering up like 25+ on a th8.

Ok, gonna give it a shot. All I know is after 3200 EVERYTHING dries up! The few th9 I see are max and only worth 1-4 cups. Will give this a try.
Currently TH9 in Champion with 3199 cups. Will return home after every 10 next.

A TH9 would probably get matched with TH10s a lot, that's why.

Can't I just drop a troop and go below 3200? Why do I need to get attacked?

It doesn't matter how you drop below, you can fail an attack but there's probably no point because your resources will be full.

Without heroes (both upgrading at same time because I maxed de storage) I get about 2.5M combined gold/elixir and 5k de per hour unboosted. I leave th exposed untrapped and get sniped 90% of the time. Most of the actual attacks fail to reach most of my loot.
Recommend not trapping th to avoid annoying th10s who are happy with just the cups and league bonus.

Just spent 6hrs playing yesterday nexting and waste so much gold trying to find outside TH10 but never occur or even one single th out there....BTW im TH10 3215 as of now....All I see were Champ and M1 to M3 TH10 some th9 but rare and offer 1-4 cups with inside TH....seem to me that this strategy is good for TH8 or maybe TH9 BUT not for TH10....Instead what Im doing while or during searching is to find level1 infernno with lurable cc with level6 AD and wiztower....That I can surely make it to 50% and win some loot and have my league bonus of 180K both gold n elixir and 1.2k DE....mind you some next searching takes 200k gold or even more to find this...which already ate up my league gold bonus....yet but elixir and DE will profit... Sure do I also tried to leave my th outside to get snipe and go down to 3192 but still to no avail....maybe NOT good for TH 10///

How much time did you spent nexting before finding TH snipe? Does it take 1-2 hrs before finding one? Just wondering if its worth giving a shot. Thanks

Indeed,This is very smart farming strategy,Assuming the bonus loot is large and you attack very frequently,You can easily gain million of loot in just few hours,Also in terms of DE farming,This like 30-50 times more efficient than zapping

How active would you have to be? Can you raid every couple minutes...or do you have to do long sessions?

I keep a gibarch army training so I alternate between sniping and attacking. Usually 5-10 minutes between finding a snipe or base I know I can get at least 1 star. There are a few th8s up here which are easy and often loaded with loot.
Without heroes or boosting I make a profit of around 2.5M combined gold/elixir and 5k de per hour

True I get matched against TH10. The system now exposes almost the same TH as your and above rarely below, with luck your at TH8 and you can see those TH8 pushing and some TH9 players Champ to M1 (NOTE: THEY were champ already before) which don't care putting their TH outside for a shield or even get smash fully coz they could easily get those resources back even more after their shield. I realized now that your strategy is effective IF YOU'RE TH8 and TH9 achiever already... TH9 may take awhile coz they get pair with TH10 compare to TH8 in searching....

To those TH8 already at master of any level try to push hard to champ, this one I recommend dont upgrade to TH9 :thumbsup:
Later when all walls troops and defense were max....including TH9 never touch that TH to upgrade this is the time you could easily max your walls to lava and DT before going to 10...goodluck

You can maintain champ badge as a TH8 by playing about 40 mins in the morning and 40 mins at night (time your shields between those sessions).

The trick of returning to village every few nexts is brilliant. I had noticed that the first few searches where different, but never though it could be used like this. Made 68 trophies in like 20 minutes. XD

I'm still at master 3, but now I will definitely climb up higher. ;)

Seriously this is awesome. For an hour and a half of playing each day, you have more than enough resources to upgrade whatever you want. I started last night working my way up there on my no defense TH7. After all, if I'm going to be 3 starred... Why not be in a higher league? I hope to eventually flip to TH9 and farm the AQ this way.

My notes for any other TH7 (started at 1200, currently at ~2050 trophies):

• Destroying TH6 for 3 stars is useful to about 1750 trophies. (boost + barch + anything over 25, then 20, finally 15 ish) Made 1750 in the first boost session.
• After that, 1-2 stars on TH7 is more time efficient (get at least 9). Look for a lurable CC, spam barch will work. Searching for 2 star bases isn't worth it.
• 1 star on TH8 requires a bit of strategy, I skip those bases for now, but will likely have to target them later.
• I'm not finding many TH outside, hope that changes as I get higher.
• After the session, I was 3 starred for 3 cups by a TH8 near masters. I look forward to that revenge (TH is outside, so easy 15+ cups).

I'm a Th8 in masters II with TH outside, I always get sniped in the minute following my disconnection, giving a shield...

These are my current thoughts as TH9 in 3100-3200 champs.
- Takes about 2-3 days to push from Gold.
- There are VERY few snipes
- There are VERY few collector raids
- Typical loots without loot bonus is 300/300/2500
- For loot bonus add another 180/180/1200
- Most TH9's you encounter are fairly developed (pretty much all the common war bases), unless you are very lucky
- You will spend time nexting, so boosting barrack is a waste of time. Spell factory is only thing needed.

The army I am currently using is GiHeHo:

- 3 healers, 18 hogs, 8-10 wizards (most in CC), 3 wall breakers, ~12 giants - (This takes ~24 mins to train, maybe less as you need to factor in mins nexting...)
- 18 hogs is roughly 1200 DE, so loot bonus pays this. Find bases with 2500+ DE.
- The only spell you need is RAGE (sometimes JUMP)
- Heal spells not needed with surgical hogging.
- AQ is needed, King is not.

IMO, this works a lot better than GiBarch and you can 3 star very strong bases with max loots.

Overall, with barracks boosting your still going to earn far more in Silver/Gold league as there is far less nexting. If your not barracks boosting I think its pretty close.

If your bored of barch, bam, gibarch, I highly recommend GiHeHo in Champions (3100-3200). Not only can you practice war attacks but you can farm at same time. Also your heros are likely to stay alive longer due to Healers so no boosting needed apart from Spell Factory.

I've been trying to get to champs (currently at around 3030 trophies) and there are only a few snipes out there. It takes like 10 minutes to find a base, and I only get 1~2 trophies.

BUT, I found something different for a TH9, which is the ultimate loot bonus farming. :P

Push to master 3 (2600 trophies) and then drop to above 2500 trophies. You can find a snipe every 3 minutes (sometimes it takes 5 minutes and sometimes it takes 20 seconds but on average it's 3 minutes), meaning you can get 2 million resources (of each) and 10,000 dark elixir in an hour. Much better than collector raids.
You can also find full drills sometimes, so my record is 100,000 dark elixir in a day (Yeah I played a lot that day hehe :>). My king and queen are currently upgrading (The queen will be done in 4 days and king in 6 days and I'm almost full again lol),

Same for me, was at about 3030 trophies (as Th8), was very difficult to find a snipe (indeed, like 10 minutes).

I've dropped to 2500-2600 and it's way better!

I'll give a specific data point. I recently pushed to test baraklevy's loot claims about loot. I went from 1767 trophies to Master 3 as a TH9 with 205 camp space, level 5 barch, BK7/AQ1, and 4 spells. I kept 2 rage/2 heal for teslas. Everything was a snipe except two I cleaned up for 50% after the snipe due to loot.

Time was
Gold I: 52 min (1767 to 2000)
Crystal III: 58 min
Crystal II: 92 min
Crystal I: 140 min (60 min first half, 80 min second half)

5:40 total. Earned 3.2M gold and 4.7M elixir (loot wasn't great, but it hardly counts as nothing at 1.4M combined/hr) There was some chatting and a bit of downtime, but not much. Overall it took 125 ish snipes.

I had 23 in the last 100 minutes in mid to upper C1 (2466+), so baraklevy's claim of one per 3 minutes isn't that far off. I may have been unlucky that I only had 14/hr instead of his reported 20/hr. I'll have more data in a bit when I actually go farming.

This method is good if you don't want to x4 gem barracks, or if you want to have the champ badge.

Silver farming is still the best loot in the game. But usually requires you to x4 barracks boost to reach its full potential.

I started 4 builders yesterday on a 2 hour gemmed barracks session. It was Level 9 to level 10 archer towers at 2.5 mil each. That's 5 mil gold an hour to start all 4 of those!

So again - This method is great if it fits your play style. If your Playstyle is a bit more hardcore, or expending a little $$$, then silver is the place for you.

It must of been a long way up just for all that? I would stay Silver 1 thanks.

Personally, since the inceased win bonus, I make half my loot from league bonus. (as a TH10).
All I do is snipe THs and easy farm raids with simple troops. I usually hang out somewhere between C1 and M1.
It's very effective for me, I have no loot issues whatsoever.

I think the strategy of the OP is really interesting ! Will try it with my Mini TH9 Account.

Imagine everybody would put their TH outside. Really everybody. We would all get filthy rich and beat the system ;)

GG doesn't mean much. I know a player with a GG of 40m and a very nice Level 115 Th10.
he plays COC since day one, only ever collects from his mines and pumps though...plays a few clanwars at times.
I also know people who farmed up their village before Supercell introduced the Gold Grab in the profile.
So, a low GG can be very deceiving and not have much meaning.

I just had a horrible session the other night where I twice lost Masters badge due to accidental troop dropping. Over the course of a 5 hour period I went from 2500 -> 2600 twice with 50 wins. Only 10 snipes/hr.

Also, I'm attempting to push my TH8 up through the same region (Crystal 1) and it's a totally different experience. TH9's I get in matchmaking are in low Crystal 2 and below, no good trophy offers and very few TH outside. I could make the climb if I actually got bases to attack, but over 3 hours I made almost no progress.

I'll have to try back at a different hour on both of the accounts

I may have to agree with you, I dropped a TH9 to low Silver 3 and the loot is pretty impressive in a short trial (5 attacks or so). A couple nexts and I'm looking at 300+ and then it's waiting on my boosted barracks to remake my barch! Which is easily 4M/hr. I may have to up my standards from 300k base.

this is very beneficial to th8s since farming in silver for me is absolutely horrible.you"ll find th9s that are almost impossible to steal 200k and th6s and 7s with no loot. collector bases are very rare, and if you try farming in gold th9s will crush you. i was about to upgrade to th9 to unlock the aq and lv6 barch to see if it would help, but seeing this strategy its more benefical to stay at th8 and get the plentiful snipes in champs

And the good thing is you get plenty of DE.
If you farm collector bases in silver, you don't get so much DE

what are the updates? i have seen no changes in the bases i come across

So you climb up to 3200+, get the champ badge,
drop trophies to 3199 to 3100 and find th8+th9 and th snipe/barch for the star,
and then you climb back up to 3200 and log off?
As a th9, wouldnt you only see higher level bases even with the new matchmaking

After this thread was made there is WAY much less free TH available @ 2600 and 3200 level. :)

So OP, are you still a th8? Ive been farming here in champs since my late th7 days right after the update(yeah got champ badge after that update) and Ive been playing this game for 2 months and maybe 2-3 weeks now( Im a th8 mid level) I agree with you, as a th8 it works great but that unlimited de is just too good to not be used so Im wondering if youre a th9 now? Or any th9 out there, are there still reasonable snipes? Because I want my de to be of use so I want to unlock archer queen to burn de.
