last time i ventured up to masters 2. I found the loot to be awful and town hall snipes to be almost non-existant.
I'm TH9, max defenses, all but 49 walls are legos.
The army i needed to put together to successfully raid was always a serious army. Barching didn't seem to be a good option.
Down in Gold 3/Silver 1. If I boost my barracks and do barch raids. I"m attacking every 10 minutes, and average about 400K combined, Many times i get 1500+ in dark elixer as well. Usually I don't have to drop a single spell
I might venture up to champion to get the gems. But farming is about how much profit you get an hour. Sure I could put a gowipe together and raid in masters and get 500-600k in combined loot. But i can attack 4x with a barch army in that time. and that army costs a lot, and you must use spells which eats into your profit.
So by awful loot, I meant loot that was worth raiding for.
Sure you can raid with 10 dragons, but why would you? ;)
Now if there is some magical sweet spot where the farming bases exist up there that would be awesome. But I didn't see it, but the highest I've been is Masters 2, dropped because I wanted more loot.
This strategy is still valid. However, now the optimum range for finding snipes seems to be between 2250 and 2500. Basically, moved up by 100 trophies.
Does this strategy still work on 3150~3200 range? With 3 mins between snipes thats 20 snipe per hour and thats 24k de and 3.6m gold elix. Per hour. (0.0) #eyes wide open
you will find it rare to consistently find a snipe every 3 min in champs league. i'd say you'll average more like one every 10-12 minutes. Do you find streaks here and there, sure. But average over a long span of farming the league bonus, i found 10-12 minute average to be the norm.
I'm in M1 right now, might give it a go.
I'm also sniping THs in M1 for the loot bonus, pocketed a nice 65k DE in 3 hours.
I've just said that range has been increased to 3250-3500. Sniping below 3200 would take much longer than it used to now.Quote:

i dropped from 3210 to 2994 then i went back up to 3109. i played for 4 hours 40 minutes and make about 45 k dark sniping my way up + attacking bases all out with my farming troops (GiBarch ). Snipes are VERY EASY to find from 29xx to 30xx . i found 8 snipes in one hour !
