Champion League - Loot Bonus Farming

Additional comments regarding TH9 Champs bonus farming:

If you do try to advance past 3200 trophies instead of allowing yourself to be attacked and fall under the threshold, your options are pretty bleak. Nothing but impenetrable TH10 bases, maybe one or two snipes per hour.

Conversely, if you follow Reav3r's method, TH9 under the cup threshold will be presented with more viable options, i.e. other TH9's you can beat with the right army comp and a greater likelihood of exposed TH's, though those are still few and far between.

Regardless, Reav3r has done a tremendous job contributing to the forum community by reporting his findings, so kudos to him.

I hit champs as a TH9 last wednesday. Went beyond 3210+ and only found impenetrable TH10s.

Tried your method, wasn't able to find much snipes.. Guess i was too late into the party.

I am almost max TH8 and thinking of going up to see if its true and exploit.

Are you staying under the 3200 limit to find more th8-9 bases. That is the whole point from what I am reading. I just making sure that you are having difficulty finding suitable bases to attack under the 3200 limit before I attempt to do the same. The author is making it sound like there are a large amount of farming bases to poach under the 3200 limit due to the new system. Finally what is the masters three thing you refer to?

No, there are no farming bases. Just snipes with no loot that give you 180k main plus 1.2k de LEAGUE BONUS.

I've been doing this for about a week and snipes are about 3 or 4 per hour but if you can effectively 1 or 2 star any other th9 for very cheap its still immensely profitable, I'm a th9 btw and I'm swimming in de, and the gold and elixir flows quite well for me also, my army comp.....well that's my secret but ill tell you this, its super cheap andd has a 20 min training time unboosted

Forgive me if I am misunderstanding but I was under the impression that is what a farming base is. Every farming base I see online is a base with the TH left outside the walls. This allows the player to get sniped and get a free sheild. Filling storages are what a player does to upgrade their base.

Also I initally was in the process of gettign to champion and stopped bc I was NOT finding many bases to snipe. I was lucky to find 1-3 per hour. Was your experience the same? WHen you went from Masters 3 to Champion, did you mostly snipe your way there?

If you are almost max TH8 you may not receive the full benefit of this trick. If you are grinding skull walls the gold bonus is nice but you will eventually run out of uses for both elixirs. And I'd venture a guess that upgrading to TH9 will be a total game-changer as well.

I think it is evident that the new MM system is a blessing to some and a curse to many. Definitely makes the push to champs harder if you are th9, concealing any lower level town halls that you could feast on.

I am 12 walls away from all skulls. All thats left for me is level 10 Archer Towers, level 10 Canons and level 12 collectors. I do have a few troops to research I could stick around for, but wont. As soon as I finish the above, I will start my TH upgrade.

I realize he is saying this benefits TH8 and I missed out on most of that benefit. I would like to be in position to try it as soon as my TH finishes upgrading. I cant see how this would change very much from TH8 to TH9. At 3150+ trophies, I SUSPECT you would still find more TH9 then TH10. I would definitley expext to find more TH10 as a TH9 but there should still be those same bases he is finding to snipe as a TH8. Am I missing something?

I also forgot to ask how long did it take you to get to champion?

The closer I got to masters, the fewer bases I found to attack for decent trophies. The new system would often pick someone in crystal with 7 or fewer trophies. THere were few bases with 25+ Trophies and even fewer of those were snipable bases. I could be wrong but as a current TH8, I would imagine it would take a month minumum to get to champions league earning 1-10 trophies at a time. I amlost made it to champion when I was TH7 before the matchmaking change and didnt take near as long to reach masters one as it is this time to reach mid masters three.

...And once your TH upgrade is complete, you'll wake up in a shark tank, forced to attack and defend against extremely strong players with [essentially] TH8 offense and defense. I'd say anywhere from 80 - 85% of my offered targets were TH10 at that 3150 cup range, unless you jam on the next button a bunch and find a strong TH9 in Masters for like 5 cups. Just a fair warning, it's no picnic, snipes are very rare, and the Matchmaking is going to throw a bunch of impossible TH10 targets at you.
