i dont like change name in every game, before you play a game choose your name carefully because that name would be your trademark. i hope supercell would not add a change name option at a cost of gems.

NO! Then someone who gets kicked can keep coming back with a new name.... barely anyone is going to keep track of the name tag #s.
U must always think before u type the name, although i changed my username recently. Our leader have a real name, so i decided to do the same.
1 change is more than enough...we know these kids, they would changing their name every hour.
No why should it be a cost involved? Gems cost enough already and had a price rise already this year

But anyway, I don't believe this should be necessary. Why would you even want to change your name? I think the name change was for the people who had a typo in their name or maybe just chose poorly at the beginning of the game so that they don't have to start over just so they don't have to live with their bad name. Now, if you actually change or your name to something worse, then it's your fault and you should not be allowed to change your name again. Names are supposed to be your trademark. Changing them over and over again would defeat the purpose of a "name."
Maybe it could be possible to change names multiple times but it would cost gems just to limit people changing their name over and over again.
I think if they made it always available players would abuse it. They would change their names to taunt/mess with other players and clans, change their names to mess around in clan chat, change their names to vulgar and insulting names, etc. I know this because I would do it myself. I don't know how it would impact war either because the names on the war map aren't linked to the players names once prep day has begun and we don't know what else in the war coding is affected by names. There's just too many ways to abuse that feature if there wasn't any boundaries around it and I'm sure SC would not want to deal with that.
