Detering Zappers (those that zap your DE storage)

How about we give the DE storage, or for that matter, all the storage containers a 4X bonus against lightning spell attacks.

I am sure that many that play this game realize that storing DE is the hardest, but it doesnt help when some lower ranked players would rather zap your resource instead of trying to attack it normally. Giving the storage containers a bonus hitpoint increase against lightning spell attacks will help out alot of people and I feel balance the game.

Like how Telsa Towers do 2X damage against Pekkas, Big Bombs against hogs, or Wall Breakers deal more damage to walls.

This is something that I feel needs to be addressed.

There are many other threads that also address this issue. I suggest you search those as well and post your comment to them. Good idea! I like both this idea and using Teslas as lightning rods to absorb the lightning strike within its range.

NO its not. its just part of the game. Just like it was just part of the game for you to push down to the weaker opponents to steal that DE in the fist place.

So there is nothing broken, no fix needed. The guys that are crying about zapping are just being poor sports.

The matchmaking change should really cut down on zapping anyway. Low THs won't be seeing many high ones anymore.

What are you talking about? Matchmaking in regular raids? Or are you talking about in war? Zapping DE in war is pointless because the DE isn't taken from the defender. That's just a waste of a spell.

How can they prevent a TH7 from seeing a TH10 within his trophy range?

They changed multiplayer matchmaking to take TH level into account (except in Champion's league), so the odds of TH 7 finding a TH 10, even in their own cup range, is now extremely low (maybe impossible, I'm not sure).

This changed with the update, there's a sticky in general with some more information.

are you sure thats not just in war? the matchmaking process takes longer now to find a better match, in raids the search is pretty much instant

Ahhh... I see that now. Thanks! Although that will reduce the zappers who are more than 2 TH levels away from me, I still get zapped by people within 1 TH of me. So unless those people stop on their own, that update doesn't help. I think it would still be nice to have an alternate defense.

Yea, I love this idea. Not at first, but as your DE storage gets upgraded it should become less and less vulnerable to lightening strikes with each upgrade IMO. Maybe 4x by the time it is maxed out, but less than that earlier on. And to the poster who said "No, it is just part of the game..", well, everyone in my clan hates that "part of the game", and most people dislike it and think this is a great idea. Everything that has been changed over time was "just part of the game" at some point. Was it a bad idea to buff Valks just because it's "part of the game" that they were completely irrelevant and never ever used?? lol... terrible reasoning on his part, and excellent idea.
