I generally like having my bases symmetric. This is because I want my base to be equally hard and evenly defended from all sides, particularly so that there are no weak spots. However, with the new air sweeper, considerring there is only one, it seems as though making a good symetrical base while using the air sweeper efficiently will become impossible. What do you guys think? Can someone use the air sweeper efficiently in a symetrical base and make it equally as hard to attack from all sides?
Asymmetrical bases are better either way to be completely honest.

Your defensive scheme can still be symmetrical but your base layout can by asymmetrical to throw the attacker off. Conversely you can have a symmetrical looking base with certain types of defenses beefed up on one side. The new air sweeper allows you to do just that. Theoretically it slows down the air assault so you wouldn't need as much air defense to that particular side and could use the combination of teslas, archer towers and ads to fortify your back end. There are a lot of possibilities for how to use it and it should make for some creative base designs as opposed to the same dozen or so bases that you see all day long when raiding.
At th9 the sweeper won't really do much (rages hounds/loons will roll right over it) th10 is interesting though.
Same amount of walls at 9 and 10 so with a clever design it will be useful. Still this trap doesn't really slow anything down until lv4+ as the first couple of levels are easy for your flying units to recover from and you could rush it with a few well timed minions.Quote:
