Why take away the sticky?

Now we will just have 20 new threads every day whining about matchmaking (instead of the 5 a day that seem to get started anyways despite this thread being stickied).

Oh well I guess the conclusion then is that matchmaking is working just as SC had envisioned it, so no need for any more discussion on the matter.

I love the new matchmaking, it's brought new life to the game for both my accounts! Long live TH based matchmaking!

Ok I agree since I'm a new th9 I dont understand high cup lvl matchmaking. However you are inferring things that I didn't say or imply.

Secondly I can see how the sniping was an issue and I stated that at then end of my post.

1. Why would high level players expect to be able to farm there? It seems to me to be a Choice. Go high cups for high cups sake or stay lower and hit weaker bases than you.

Both of those seem totally acceptable ways for people to play the game. (Notice I never said that attacking a lower base than you was bad. In fact that's a large part of the game and that's how I get my resources as well. The whole circle of life stuff)

2. I never said I was getting attacked withing seconds of logging off. All that means is that there are alot of people at the cup lvl you are at. I don't really care about that.

Finally I'm not one of those rushers you are referring to. I was not posting to complain. I have noticed the absolute dissapearance of any inactive bases but I worked with it. I just switched army comps and my income slowed down but it wasn't terrible. I am simple noting what I perceived to be the actual issues we needed to discuss

In my clan we're finding that our th8s are more and more being flattened by strong th9s for big loot that there is little to NO hope of revenging instead of getting sniped... although it can feel sweet to lightning revenge their de, most of the time they HAVE none to revenge, and that takes too much time anyway, especially timing it when you CAN revenge them- most prefer to have raid spells cooked instead and not be frustrated with stupid revenge, one of the WORST aspects of this game. And nexting is taking longer/costing more gold, so that sucks too. My th9 on the other hand usually just gets sniped still (whew).

For what it's worth, it sucks for most th8s lately, but I guess it's paying off for th9s- I'm finding great loot with mine and, surprise, mostly th8s I'm flattening for it... lose/win situation?

The best thing ever, once you now how its work, please never remove it.

It's been about a month now, and I've not enjoyed Clash this much in a long time, almost regardless of the league I go to - there is loot to be found.

For so long that hasn't been happening after wasting countless nexts on targets protected by the loot penalty.

I am however a little concerned with the fact it's sent many high level players much lower on the trophy ladder, not sure if SuperCell expected that to be so prominent. While I am happy that many of the lower level players there are keeping the honest with lightning. I've had clan mates go there and come back up due to the lightning. Which I believe is a good thing.

But the game needs ways to encourage those strong players into higher leagues, and want to stay there. Time to bring in a league perk system! The higher league you are in, the more benefits you receive. Like higher resource production, faster spell production etc.

We've done some subtle multiplayer matchmaking balancing in order to better protect players with low level Town Halls. After these changes, all players will be more likely to find multiplayer opponents that are at or near their Town Hall level, regardless of Trophy count. For more details, read below.


As armies and Heroes get stronger and stronger, the threat (and temptation) of crushing weaker players with a decked out Town Hall 9 or 10 army becomes ever more present. Now, matchmaking will pay special attention to the Town Hall level of a player going to attack, and will look for targets that are at a similar Trophy count AS WELL as at a similar Town Hall level. For example, a player at Town Hall level 9 in the Bronze league will be very likely to find opponents at Town Hall levels 8-10 who are also in the Bronze league.

For most players who are attacking at a Trophy level appropriate to their progress in the game, little or no change will be apparent in their multiplayer matchmaking searches. However, for players who have dropped to a very low Trophy count, these changes will inhibit (though not completely prevent) matchmaking against significantly weaker targets. These players will instead be matched more often to other players at a similar Town Hall level who have also dropped to a very low Trophy count. In the cases where there are very few appropriately-leveled targets available, these players may have to wait longer in matchmaking to find targets.

This behavior also takes effect in the opposite direction; weaker players will be less likely to be matched against disproportionately strong players. For example, a player at Town Hall level 5 in the Silver league will be very likely to find opponents at Town Hall levels 4-6 who are also in the Silver league.

As a special note, matchmaking in Champion league has been left as-is and will not have any special Town Hall considerations.

Hopefully, these changes will give newer players a much better multiplayer experience, and will make the game fairer for all. Thanks for reading, fellow Clashers, and Clash on!

Ya I just have to next twice as much now to get anything worth raiding, I guess you guys just want us TH9 N 10s to jus sit there n crush Th7 n 8s, all day, get minimal loot, n let all the TH 5 n 6s catch up the us. Then you can make another update where theChamps suffer and we can all catch up to them. Thats fair isn't it!

I agree with you! Clashing is fun again! And it's true that we need more incentives to be in upper leagues. You gave some nice ideas, maybe next update ...
