Agree. I spent hundreds in the game and still think I am a "causal player". I enjoy sitting and living on my collectors peacefully; make progress little by little. Haven't seen anything wrong with this play style cause i support the game by playing it daily and pay my personal fortune to SC.

Whether they are #1 or not has nothing to do with me. I am a gamer not a business analyst or stock holder of the company. What i care is whether the game is give me what i want after i paid them money as simple as that.

You paid money for gems. I'm sure you received them. Everything else is up to you, not them. The game is free. The gems just speed up or make easier the experience.

.. I've just read here it seems to me, that the update devided most players in two groups.

1. Maxed out TH9 and TH10 = happy

2. TH7/TH8/earlyTH9 = unhappy

Seems as if the second group got same problems like me to progress in development since new matchmaking.

Maxing your base before going to TH9 is not hurting you, in fact it is likely saving you from having much more trouble than you are. Matchmaking is TH & trophy based, the game sees a premie TH9, a new TH9, and maxed TH9 as being in the same category as all other TH9s. Any TH9 regardless of actual strength will get matched mainly with other TH9s as well as TH8s and TH10s regardless of how upgraded they actually are.

As for being better off in a higher league, well that logic is simple. The change has allowed strong TH9 and TH10s to drop to lower league to prey on all of the premie TH9 and TH10 that had previously been hiding down there. Lots of these strong TH9s and 10s went down there to joint the feeding frenzy. These guys are looking to smash bases, they do not want your trophies (TH snipe) only your loot. Higher up there are still many strong players, but up in crystal/masters many people do care about trophies and will give you a snipe to get them, even more players still don't care about trophies but are happy to pick up a nice league bonus for the cost of a couple archers.

Honestly I believe at this point in time if you want to get a cheap shield you need to get up to at least crystal 3 otherwise nobody is going to bother, and without the snipe its only a matter of time until a bigger fish comes along to clean you out.

So, the whining and flaming still in full flow?

Not to be too uncaring about the predicament, but th9s and particularly th10 have suffered terribly witg 'nexters finger' for a loooong time.

I never particularly complained about loot, adjusted and picked off league bonuses. But until i did so, nexting was no fun.

I also remember, waaaaaay back now, getting crushed every log off while holding big loot as a decent th8 and early th9.

This was due to the 20% storage cap (yes you could only lose 200/200, but it meant you were a pretty viable target holding only 1m of each), and lack of league badges, bonuses, TH penalties and gem laden achievements that seemed to encourage the baby sniping phenomenon.

So, in short, seems a bit cyclic to me.

It used to be really rough on lower levels, long long ago.
Then it got incredibly frustrating for higher levels a short time ago.
Now the lower levels have the rough and pointy end of the stick again.

I'm not offering any views on what that might mean for the future of the game, just a bit of an overview for those with shorter playing spans and memories.

I'll also add that it is highly unlikely as many people that say they are quitting, will.

I suggest something slight different.
More like:

1. CASUAL players = unhappy (totally understandably since they can't save their loot);
2. ACTIVE players = happy (less nexting and more loot available);
