Um are you training mass dragons every time? You obviously don't know how to use efficient troops like barch to farm loot. This is not a problem with matchmaking just that you are'nt training the right army.

One of the best matchmaking updates for us farmers. Loot is way easier to find and no more finding th6s and below for us th9s. One thing that was weird was finding th9s in crystal III when I was masters II but nonetheless, loot has been better and I've started playing more.
Just got attacked by a TH8 @ 2919 cups, and I was at that time @ 2456, again only lost 1 cup (not badly done revenges in case someone thought this might be the reason)
Thanks maybe that's the explanation, never been this high before. Used to farm in Gold I, so maybe high crystal and low masters are less crowded, hence less available targets.
Edit: Would be amazing if this attackers weren't either always on or constantly under a shield. Revenging them is impossible
I think SC has turned this into is Gemmed bases, vs non Gemmed bases..

The non Gemmed bases that kept there trophy count low so that they can farm and build there bases, never really cared if they were in crystal, masters or champ... They just wanted to build a cool base sometimes spending Gems.
But now all our bases are being chewed up by Max or close to max Gemmed bases.
Bases have nowhere to go anymore and dropping trophies doesn't help...
Yes I agree its was and is annoying to see a TH7 is crystal or masters. Then to see that same TH7 stays online 24hours, never allowing for revenge....
Personally I think allowing revenge is a better way to fix the problem vs TH matchups....
SC's goal here is to cater to the Gemmed bases vs the farmers....
But the farmers way out number the Gemmed. Farmers will tire of this and slow down, why come out from shield only to be raped by a maxed out base hitting with full spells and max troops... They haven't spent gems yet they sure wont now or later, after this beating !!!
Because of the new matchmaking, being a low town hall in Master now is probably similar to being a TH10 in high Champ. There aren't nearly as many of them to go around so as soon as they log out without a shield, they get attacked. This is also why their cup offers are much different than if they were in a lower league with the majority of their peers - not only are they few and far between, but most of them are also unable to be raided since they're shielded so quickly.
It may be that the win bonus is based on their league, but your trophy count has a lot to do with the searching in Matchmaking. It will search for bases around same trophy count and similar TH as attacker. If there are no bases, it will increase its search range. If you are at Gold 3, you just will never show up to a TH9 sitting at Crystal 2. You only show up to similar THs who are around you. And those would be the people who are themselves in a lower league and not expecting to snipe, but rather expecting to have to do some damage.
I have 3 accounts, max 10 except walls that I spend on, max 9 except walls, and a 9 with some work to do on. Neither of the last 2 I spend on. They sit in bronze at 600 trophies, never raid. Those accounts are casual, only attack in wars, upgrade when collectors and war produces enough. I got hit early, didn't know about this change, once I figured out what was going on, I dumped all gold and elixer I had into walls, and took advantage of the change, loot was crazy. But I don't want to play 3 accounts full time. As a nine there was no Benifit to attack in bronze so not sure why the change was needed? The searches are great, so much loot to get, but just not interested in raiding non stop. As soon as I get offline I get dumped 400-500 trophies each time. Would like someone to explain why this was needed over some many other things in the game? What was wrong with how it was?
