Mortar upgrades

Read whole post before flaming it for being in the wrong subforum - its not.

I was watching a flammy video, and i was again reminded how much he annoys me. Not only is his base bad (i dont mind that, easy loot for me if i ever find it) but he spreads his bad base builds to all his fans. Also, he flamed some base for upgrading all 3 mortars at once.
Several times on the forums its been shown that upgrading all the mortars for lets say 5 days and riding out shields is superior to crippling your base one mortar at a time for 15.

why flammy, why.

The only problem with upgrading all morts at the same time is it makes saving for the next round of upgrades very hard. ESP at TH8 where almost every defensive upgrade costs over a million gold. It does you no good to have your builders idle for a couple of days after the mort upgrade finishes.

However, if you still have the goblin missions available, you can raid that as your morts are almost done. Just stay on a shield until you spend the gold

Totally, I do like his videos but I agree with you about his base and your view on his comment on upgrading all three mortars. I currently have all three wizard towers upgrading to level 6 - I haven't been hit very hard at all and I have 10 hrs to go on one, 2 days on another, 5 days on the last. Did the same with my mortars - too long to wait to do one at a time! Not like I have nothing to steal either - got 4.3mil gold and 4.8 mil elixir 13k DE - Credit goes to DTP's Pingfao - His TH8 farming base rocks!


BTW I am TH8 and a farming fiend...so no problem for me

I personally don't like riding out shields. Having all three mortars down you stand a higher chance of getting 2 or 3 starred.

It's easy to follow someone and do things like they do, especially of the person is bit more well known. You can see it very often here aswell, when a "well known" person thinks something, there is a group of people agreeing with it. Agreeing, without thinking or having a mind of their own. Following trends and such was never my thing, I prefer to think on my own :cool: I watched couple of flammys videos when I was learning the ropes and then the interview with mr. Bigshot. I had enough of them and didn't like em too much anyway. But that's besides the point...

The point being, upgrading stuff on same go. I did it as much as I could. Gold was just limiting how fast to get em started. Now I just try to keep the gaps between builders finishing on max of 3 days. Air defences I wouldn't upgrade at the same time, though, but I highly recommend others to do it! *runs off to build more bloons*

Everybody is entitled to an opinion. riding out a shield with low resources and a farming base with the TH outside should avoid a 3 star. but even if you are absolutely mauled... who cares. its just a few trophies.

Hmm, my upgrades all cost several million a piece...its a bad day if I have empty storages :)

Haha, I always do multiple splash at once.

I usually upgrade 1 mortar + 1 wiz together, so I still have 2 mortar, 2 wiz, pretty balance :)

But mortar upgrades are faster, so they usually finish earlier than wiz, in which I will upgrade all 3 wiz at once XD

But I already had 3 mortars operational ready, in which I didn't lose much anyway with my pokeball base.

I did all 3 mortars at once when I hit TH8 and it worked well for me.

I just want to share my ideas with the new spell factory which I have made up. It's lv 5 and the spell which I have also made up should be launched in battle and when you drop it it should make a force field so that your troops can be protected from all kinds of defenses. Please like my idea and another thing i think that spells should protect your town as well.
