Dragloon IMO is better than GoWiPe at TH8, but GoWiPe will help you at TH9+.
GoWiVa is better than GoWiPe also (IMO) because valks are faster and can do the same job as a PEKKA.
But one of the most effective TH8 strategies is hog riders, or some variant.
Hogs or mass grag is your best bet or a combo of both. Lvl5 balloons are a waste of troop space. I wouldnt ever use gowipe unless you are content always just getting two stars. Gowipe is not a 3 star attack unless you attack down a th. gohowi is always a good strat if your troops are high enough
dragloon TH8 is fine, when CC only is loons. Then 10 drags.
I don't war...so farming or trophies army. When an 8, I played in crystal 2 and 3 leagues...my army for the vast majority of attacks was Pekka, 2 healers, 8 giants, 7 wizards, 6wbs, 6 hogs, 2 minions, bk was lvl 10 and remainder was a ratio of 2 archers for every barb. All troops maxd. I used one rage per attack, lightening to hit any cc troops. Since I've never been a member of a clan, I had no clan troop support. Usually a two star against purple wall 9s...
I played in crystal as an 8, and made 9 after maxing the 8. That should tell you about that army ....
If you have level 3 hogs, it will be better than mass dragons.
Mass dragons OR Mass hogs.
This all depends on the base setup / levels of AD's / where the AD's are / if there are lots of potential spots for double bombs etc.
I've tried gowipe tons of times but unless your golems or pekka's aren't maxed then these strategies are your best bet for sure. But again, all depends on the base..
Hogs are easily the best strat at TH8.
There is no "best" attack for th8. The best attack strategy will get 3 stars... the opponents base design will determine the most effective way to get 3 stars.
It used to be mass drag/dragloon. I'm hoping that with this new air sweeper these things will no longer be the go to 3 star strategy.
