isnt that excactly what th 8.5 does?
I have been seeing more and more of these. A TH9 with max walls, but no xbows...and he does have an AQ, but is still a TH8 for matching and is ranked below our 8's. But has the troops to take down Th10's. Ridiculous!
So tell me, what is the correct order to upgrade your base? Assuming you are a maxed TH8 before upgrading to TH9, what is the exact upgrade order of every building, defense, wall section, and research? Any deviation from this exact sequence is considered abusing the system then, right?
Give me a break, going from maxed TH8 to maxed TH9 (or TH9 to TH10) is not abusing the system. Going from maxed TH1 to a TH9 or TH10 with a fully upgraded 3-star attack and no defenses? Yeah, abusing the system. Yes, it's different.
Thank you. It's amazing to me that people can put this in the same category as .5 and honestly believe themselves. This base will get matched as like a th 4 and can 3 star mid th 9s with laloon. An 8.5 gets matched as a maxed th 8 to low th 9 and can only 3 star low th 9s. A .5 will build their new defenses once their offense is up to par, meanwhile this base clearly has no intention of ever building defenses and being matched against an equal opponent.
LOL, I sincerely hope you are being sarcastic here.
You were providing examples of how ignoring your defences and maxing your offences in order to draw weaker opponents was an abuse of the matchmaking. And then you make the above statement which is a complete back-flip.
.5 and defenseless bases are both abusing the matchmaking system, period. If you go in with the singular purpose of upgrading offense (using elixir and DE) and neglecting defenses (gold, so won't affect your offense progress) then you know what you're doing. Don't try and sugar coat it.
Players have been doing defenseless bases for fun before clan wars were around. I never heard of .5 bases until after clan wars were introduced. So it seems to me the one and only purpose of a .5 is to work the matchmaking system.
You have to remember that .5 bases really don't carry a ton of value until they get their heroes and troops upgraded. Sure a Th8.5 will rank lower that the bases it can 3 star but where does the value really start to show? Take this guy for example, sure he can 3 star bases much higher than him, but those bases are going to be 3 stared in war whether he does it or not. Now when he gets his heroes up to the high teens low 20s and can start taking down max TH9 that his clanmates can't and starts to show that value of being a solid attacker(if he even is and thats a whole different issue) then he will have true value to his clan. Until then he will be 3 starring bases that would have been anyway. hope that makes sense.
This is no more an abuse of the system than what top clans do in the season tournament where they shuffle players around to secure the top part.
This is is no more an abuse of a system than a clan system shuffling players around to have their highest members rank highest amongst clans when pushing.
Theyre re working well within the system with mechanics that exist for everyone.
