That being said, I think spying should start being a part of the game.
I say a Clan Perk Level is added that allows one clan to view the chat of enemy teams to see their strategy, and to have access to look at their bases with trap locations.
Only the leader of the clan will be able to use the spy function, they would get a separate chat tab showing the enemies conversation, and in the war map will have full access to the enemies bases and layout.
Enemies will not know when or if they are being watched, but they will obviously be able to assume it is happening due to the enemy clans perk level. Only the leader will be able to spy so it cannot be constant without a pretty persistent leader. They will not be able to communicate with the enemy team, just watch and report what attacks are coming, and let teamates know where some traps are. If they find out the other clan initially attacks straight across (1 to 1, 16 to 16) prior to the war, the clan can change base layouts to defend against their counterparts best troops.
Then spying is legal and part of the game, and everyone can stop complaining.
