Im lvl 62 and th lvl 8.
My base:
- All Archer T. lvl 8
- All Canons lvl 9
- Currently uping all my Teslas to lvl 2
- 100% lvl 6 Walls
- All Wizard T. lvl 4
- All Mortars lvl 5

Here my question: What should I do first? Upgrade the walls to lvl 7/8 or Max out the Defense?

Upgrade the walls while you are maxing defences. When all defences are max, go up a TH. By then you ought to have pretty good walls also.
Max your defense and while the upgrades are taking place dump your excess gold into the walls. I was at a similar stage to you when I got to TH8 and I focussed on getting mortars and Wiz Towers maxed first. Then did cannons and AT's.
While upgrading all of these I've just yesterday finished upgrading all my walls to level 7. I've got teslas and air defenses left to do which will take me about 3-4 weeks and I'd imagine I'll be able to get 1/3 - 1/2 of my walls to level 8 in this time.
So my advice is to max your defenses and while you're waiting for them to upgrade (which will be a while in some cases, TESLAS!!) get the walls going.
Defenses always first.
I have yet to have a wall kill a troop.
I have 5 builders, shoud i use 4 for upgrading and 1 for walls?Quote:

It really depends on how much time you will spend farming while that builder is idle, though. If you are going to spend a lot of time doing walls then I would say it is worth leaving that 5th builder idle. It's better than leaving 4 builders idle at the end, just to finish maxing walls.

Defences before walls.
I would attack a base w/ maxed walls but weak defences
& skip a base w/ maxed defences but weak(er) walls - because everything from L6-8 is 2 L5 wallies anyway. :rolleyes:
I'd recommend working on maxing your splashes first & not be too perturbed about the walls (if they're at least L6/7) @ that time.
Sure, your base will be a sitting duck each time you log out,
but @ the right trophy range, you'll gain it back in a raid anyway.
If your heart is a little weak, then on my main account, I did 1 WT, 1 MT, 2 ATs & 1 cannon at each point of time,
which worked out fine for me.
It is still viable to leave a builder free for walls @ early TH8;
but you'll find that @ the later stages / @ TH9, your upgrade costs rise significantly, as do the time costs.
In this case, you might want to keep all 5 builders busy w/ defences & dump on walls as they free up.
Personal choices really.

Always max defenses first, ESP morts and wiz towers! As for leaving a builder free it all depends on how much lab work you want to do at TH8. If the total time for the lab work exceeds the build time for four builders then it really does not hurt to leave a builder free.
at TH8 the lab is greater then the build time for all buildings, at five builders and at four builders. Personally, I like to do wall days, like on days where I will be playing a lot. But during the week i like to keep all the builders working
