I'm a TH9 player, and I can safely say that I have NEVER used, let alone trained a wizard - and mine are maxed level. :rolleyes:
But seriously, unless you intend to go trophy hunting, which should not be the intention @ TH5 IMHO, wizzies have little to no place in a farming army.
(And even when I am trophy hunting, a barb-archer combo serves me well to just below the Crystal League.)
You would eventually need to upgrade those barracks - if only for ease of troop Q-ing when your army camps get bigger & not because you'd need to use the wizzies / to unlock the dragons for the achievement & for some pretty awesome revenges - but @ this level, I'd safely go for the archer upgrade.
