Complete guide for looting resources very quickly
This guide will be mainly showing how to loot gold, elixir and dark elixir and gather many of those resources very quickly. I am currently at Town Hall level 8 and this guide is based on that Town Hall level. Troops and the trophy level are the two most important things for good looting. A. Dark Elixer Farming
01. Trophy Count
Many Town Hall 9 and 10 with dark elixir worth raiding (1000+) are at over 1350 trophies.

*Method: I put Rage Spell near air defence and use 1 or 2 Wall Breakers if the air defence is inside the wall, then deploy my giants and my level 5 Barbarian King, followed by archers. After most of the base is easy to raid, deploy goblins (5 or 10 at a time) to get you the dark elixir if not yet stolen by the archers. If you find the base really hard to attack then put 3 lightning strikes on top of the dark elixir storage so you get most of what’s in there.

Personally I am using Dark Elixir for upgrading my King, Minions, and may be Hog Riders. After these upgrades, I will start saving for my Archer Queen when I get Town Hall 9.
B. Elixir and Gold Farming
04. Trophy Count
There are two ways of getting Gold and Elixir - Getting them from mines and collectors, or storages.
The best trophy range for getting a lot (up to 800 000 of gold and 700 000 elixir in my case) of resources from mines is 1200-1250 trophies, while the best trophy range for storage full of resources (up to 198 000 gold and 198 000 elixir if attacked a base with same Town Hall Level) is 1300 and over.

Use gold to upgrade and purchase defences/walls and upgrade clan castle. Use elixir to upgrade troops and spells as well as laboratory and army camps. After all upgrades are fully upgraded, upgrade Town Hall.
C. Other Tips
07. Why should you attack high level Town Hall bases mainly?
Attacking a high level Town Hall base will grant you a bonus. On the other hand, when the strong players revenge against you, they will get a loot penalty of up to 50% as they’re meant to be stronger than you, making you win in both ways.
08. Keeping your resources safe/Base Setup
Think of your resources as the most precious thing to you. Take note though that if you protect one of the three resources too much you risk losing all your other resources as well. Keep the Dark elixir storage in the middle of your base and it will be protected by many different defences. Keep mortars 2 or 3 squares away from your storages as it has a blind area, where it can’t shoot the enemies. Keep wizard towers very close to them as they have short range but they have a huge effect on the enemy. Place all your other cannons, archer towers and clan castle somewhere around your resources. Try to place each defence and storage in a square of walls, where it is not easy for the enemies to get through. If you have fully upgraded mines and collectors, and you don’t play for a long time, then put them somewhere in your base, surrounded by walls as they have loads of resources. It is a very good idea to place your Town Hall outside your village, on the corner, as it might give you a free shield.
09. Maintaining Trophies
This is another simple thing to do. Firstly, while skipping around bases looking for that high level Town Hall base with many resources, attack other people’s Town Hall if it is outside their base walls. Secondly, if you see a lot of their buildings are out of range of their defences, I would go for the Town Hall and 50% to get 2 stars and therefore 2/3 of the trophies. Thirdly, any base you attack with your full army, try to make sure you get at least 1 star.
