I love using dragons, but maybe I'm missing something....

I have level 3 dragons and I love using them; but heres the deal:

When I'm not using a different combination of troops, I usually go with 4 lvl3 dragons, 104 lvl6 archers, 6 lvl5 wall breakers, a Barb King, and an archer Queen.

I start by trying to focus on a clear path to eliminate as many Anti-air defense as possible WHILE trying to clear the left flank and the right flank so that my dragons have a straight shot to the core of the base where the resources are.

With the the flanks and the anti-air destroyed, my dragons start moving in straight, but as they destroy building, they start moving away from the resources. They move outwards towards the flanks.

I dont get it! I clear a straight path to the resources but they shy away.

Anything I can do different?!

If u want resources, stop using dragons. Goblins are much more effecient.

Yep, you are missing BLOONS! Dragons tank the path for bloons to blow eeeeverything to pieces.

what would be a good combination for 205 troops?

I would use the dragons to take out Archer towers, Wizard towers, Air defenses etc. Then I would put out some

balloons to take out the Cannons and Mortars then just put some Goblins or Archers out. If the dragon can't get to

the Wizard tower or Archer tower or Air defense, bring out the Barbarian King and Archer Queen. Hope this helps ;)

Has anyone ever tried to really farm using only air troops?

Seems very inefficient to me, but mayby someone knows something I don't?

Well it depends on what you are farming. For example, when I farm gold, I train all high level and lix expensive troops so I can score a 250k-300k attack in gold. When I farm lix, I train archers, barbs, and a few wall breakers so I can save the lix and help build.

I like to use 4 dragons (lvl3) and 70 minions (lvl4). With all barracks working, this is a half an hour army.

Only air troops, no... But mostly air troops, yes. I do that on daily basis.

Dragon
10 minions
Bloons

The dragon might not always be along and mostly not used anyway, but it's good to have it along, just in case.

Reason I do this, is that for me, evenings and weekends are times, when loot isn't the greatest so it's much more enjoyable to attack once a hour than try to find a target every 20minutes. Can make bout 2 million gold a day.
