just started dark barracks, all lab stuff are maxed except de troops, balloons and rage spell
defenses not maxes are Archer towers lv7 and Air defense lv4 and teslas lv1
should I stay at th7 and upgrade more or go to th8 and not have all this leftover elixir
Stay!! Max all your defenses and work on walls/barracks while you're at it
Stay and max more would be sensible but if it will ruin your fun then go to TH8 as fun is superior to maxing your TH or anything else
I agree just have fun no matter how good your setup you always get clobbered at th7. Besides its much more important to make sure th8 is maxed out than it is for th7
Max EVERYTHING before you go to TH8
Its best to max everything from walls to defines since you will need it when you hit TH 8 from high level troop attack.

I waited to go to TH 8 until I maxed everything except collectors, and that includes all purple walls. I don't regret it. The biggest negative to going TH 8 is the loot penalty. There is a 50% loot penalty for opponents 2 levels below you. So you are basically saying goodbye to raiding TH 6s. This means less potential opponents to rob and going up against TH 7 and 8 bases primarily with much better defenses to break through. Everytime you go up a TH level, your saying goodbye to a bigger loot pool, and thats just not good odds. Can it be done, of course, but I think its better to wait and take advantage of TH 7 loot while you got it, will just get worse each time you move up a level from there.
Taking that from a different perspective, when you move up to TH 8 you are also entering a TH 9 loot pool, so you will be getting hit by level 6 troops. The more prepared you are for taking them on the better.
Well I guess TH7 is staying for awhile. But what about the BK? should I stay at TH7 for better DE looting and get BK or is BK optional before TH8?
Barbarian King is optional since you can also upgrade them to level 5 for TH7 but it is still a good choice to upgrade them before you go to TH8 cause you can loot more DE at your stage. :o
