I was thinking (along with my clan), it would be nice if we could bring back the ability to upgrade walls using Elixir starting at lvl 7 walls. We are finding as you get higher in TH's and resources Elixir becomes abundant while gold is very time consuming and used for multiple purposes. Once defenses get upgraded so high it drains most of your gold and makes walls very hard to afford. Bringing the ability of upgrading with elixir at a lower level with help disperse resources evenly.
I agree. Personally, I am struggling to upgrade all my walls to level 8 because I am only allowed to upgrade it with gold - 500k Gold.Quote:

No, it just skews the elixir economy at higher halls - which guess what? You will one day be too.
200k each or 500k each is nothing when it comes to walls. When you are paying $3m or $4m each...that's when you need the elixir option.
well...im a th9, with almost all defenses maxxed. What defenses i do have left are 6 or so mil a piece. Therefore walls are last thing to upgrade because gold is the only thing i can use on walls. Using elixir should not be an ability only available to th10's. People getting into max th8's/new th9's should be able to share the same ability.
probably becasue defenses as in cannons, at, teslas are more important then walls. Ive learned with jump spells and hogs, walls arent as important as your main defenses. are you saying that when you upgrade your th the first thing you should do is max out your walls??? cuz i bet everybody on here would laugh and disagree. The reason why i posted this is because everybody i have talked to wishes this would come back and be a permanent option for everybody to enjoy.

The feature that allowed elixir to be used on level 7 and 8 walls was removed because it was found to be defective.

The only way I could see that they could bring back the ability to upgrade walls from 6->7 and 7->8 is to only allow the walls to be upgraded with elixir if after the upgrade your storages are still maxed for the purpose of being raided. IE the cap for storages is 1,620,000 at TH7, so you could upgrade a wall from 6->7 if you had at least 1,820,000 or more elixir.
Also, it would probably be more constructive if you found one of the MANY, MANY, MANY, MANY, MANY other posts regarding this issue and commented on there, to enhance that existing post.

I am guessing everybody you have talked to who wishes it would come back is probably in the position where they will benefit the most. Of course people that will benefit will want it back, they aren't in a position where it will cripple their farming and so therefore their foresight is limited.
