Soon is weekend and the mods have hopefully free time to fight against the spam. :)
They target as many sites as they can, whether it is active like this one or not. My own website is relatively inactive since I stopped teaching and they spam it too. Anyplace with a comment board or a guestbook is vulnerable. It stinks
Keep in mind though that every time you report a thread all the mods get an email. Plus it isn't necessary to report each and everyone. Just mention in the report that there are a lot and which forum they are on. If you know a mod is on line, you can just PM that one too. More reports doesn't necessarily mean faster results. They can only go so fast and I'd like to thank them for all their work. I am sure they know that we don't blame them and appreciate what they do
Thanks again everyone.

looks like the fortune teller's back!
Moderators no longer receive email for each report. We have a system in place to gather all report for one particular post to be in the same place and make it easier for us to tell which one needs our attention due to its high number of report.
Here are some tips that would help us greatly to sort out the high priorities one :

Thank you everyone for reporting :).
PS: in the report, you could add link to other thread, post (copy link from the post number) or a message to us. so basically you can say more than just reporting one post/one user but please be specific or link to the post.
I would report spam more often if I didn't have to wait the 2 minutes between each report.
Thank you, meonhoc. That post was pretty educational.:)
I encourage everyone who's irritated by spam read the linked post. There was some surprising information there, including a quote from moderator Lloopy14.
Fellow forumers, take care...Quote:
I consider the constantly created new threads about the spam to be spam themselves.
I followed the directions Meonhoc posted. Hope it works. Thanks Meonhoc!!
Back again. Bump.
