Name Changing... The Truth!

Yeah... We may soon have an update that allows us to change our Clash username. This can be a good thing for those poor people who names themselves something like “Clan of Awesome” or "Request and Leave" or something goofy like that. Upon further thinking, I do recall seeing a loading screen hint that says "You cannot change the name of your village, the villagers won't know where they live!"

Yup, this update may confuse your villagers! They are the very soul of your village, and… The poor poor people will not even know where they live…
Now, the next question is this: what are the consequences of your villagers not knowing where they live? Honestly I don't really know... But I have some ideas.
I think that if you change the name of your village, kind of like the "you are under attack" thing that pops up, another message will appear saying something like "Cannot load village, Villager do not know where they live".
This is a very key point! Not only has Supercell ruled this out, but they've given a very legitimate reason for not being allowed to change your name, once again, this villagers won't know where in the booba zone they are!

Now, I'm not the kind of guy to come up with conspiracy theories, like that Wi-Fi makes your teeth hurt or something, but I think I know what happened.
The goblins want revenge on all the clashers who have been wiping out their civilization. They hācked the Help and Support page and many Supercell Staff accounts; it's all a trap. They want the villagers to not know where they live, and leave their village... THEN! They shall join the goblins! Just like those Archers and Wizards that were hired by the goblins to stand on their towers and guard their villages. They shall then live a sad life in this strange dark world of goblins; glitchy buildings on walls, graveyards rigged with bombs (like in goblin outpost) and even living in strange places like in a Kitchen Sink or this sketchy little "Mega Mansion" and "Sherbet Towers". They may even be forced to go to the "Goblin Picnic" or be forced to play in "PEKKA's Playhouse".
Anyways, I think the goblins actually have a mole somewhere in the Supercell Staff to do their dirty little work.
My bets are on Anoushka.

Maybe that's why Supercell always invites the YouTubers to Supercell HQ... TO TURN THEM INTO GOBLINS TO! Then all their fans and subscribers will follow their lead and become Goblins as well!!

The Goblins are alive and the Goblin Revolution is afoot!

It does make sense.... After all, they sent 2 goblins after us so we destroyed their entire civilization. Id want revenge.

Is it just me or does anyone else get highly annoyed when someone uses "villagers not knowing where they are" as an argument against the name change feature? I understand they are joking and I also understand supercell was joking when the implemented this into the loading screen tips, but it's a cliche at this point to be quite honest. Yet another one of my many pet peeves....

My city in which i live was renamed while i was little. My parents still knew where they lived. My college was renamed while i was in the college, i still knew where i studied. The problem is, you have seen that lie so many times over and over again that now you believe its a truth. Even lots of companies change name, logo etc...not a single employee forgets where they work, the loyal consumers eventually find about it too so please stop believing this LIE !!!

Lets say that lie is the real truth. I will do a public announcement for a week before changing IGN and let them know that our village's identity is changing and that you correct your records before it happens. You happy now??

You never know how smart these clash villagers are.................

Yes it really annoys me when it is said that your villagers won't know where they are or where to go!! As if you are putting a real person in desert and leaving him there. While the fact is that it is all a program which every bit of it is stored in a known place and every player have an ID which won't be affected by changing the name.

There have been far too many of these threads recently. I'm sure the villagers will adapt to their surroundings. If not, natural selection I suppose.

Get off the forums
