Thank you for taking the time to make that video. CWs are very repetitive for me-I just gowiwi every time. And only get two stars. This incorporates my fav war strat (gowiwi) and hogs into a very strong attack that is capable of three stars. I have told my clan about this thread and they are checking it out. Many thanks!

so earlier you recommended having lvl 5 hogs for this... do lvl 5 hogs rlly make that much of a difference? I have lvl 4 hogs and tried this in my last war but was unsuccessful. I wasn't sure if it was because of my execution or my hog lvl, my kill squad did what was intended and took out a double bomb set/cc/AQ. I put 3-4 hogs on each of the surrounding defenses but it wasn't quite enough. Granted I might have been able to place heal spells a bit more efficiently, but overall it seems I did exactly what u demonstrated.
So back to my question, do lvl 5 hogs really make the difference in this strategy? should I hold off on this attack till I upgrade them?

A Meta Base is the answer to Penta LaLoon.
CB LaLoon and Surgical Hoggging is answer to all meta bases.

Thanks Dart, very informative, just did my first 3 star on a max TH9 out of war. Very hard to do with only 30 secs to plan. You have now taught me 2 new attacks that I can use in war.

It's actually a very simple attack. The only downside is that if you don't want to lure, you need both heroes 99% of the time. You also need bases with spread point defense in the outer/second ring layer.
It's not necessarily true when people say that you need op heroes to use this attack. I did an attack on a decently leveled base that had Rancid's war design (skulls, xbows 2, th8-th9 point defense) with level 1 golems, a level 5 queen, and a level 10 king. The rage spell on your KS definitely helps quite a bit.
I agree it's simple. The purpose of the thread was really to set a challenge for people reliant on LavaLoon to branch out to a new, ground-based strategy. With the addition of the leaf blower I think that's now more important than ever.
