Inferno wizards - dark troop idea
The inferno wizard is the bad boy of the wizard family, skar to their mufasa the inferno wizard harnesses the power of infernos and the hipster hair cut.
Basically the idea is a dark troop wizard class with similar health statistics but very different on both attack and defence. Key differences
-the inferno wizard deals reduced damage but to multiple units shooting spurts of flame much like the inferno tower.
-Targets locked by the inferno wizard cannot be healed. (key for its defensive strategy)
-The inferno wizard cannot be locked on by inferno towers (key to its offensive strategy)
(if there is a balancing issue with this you could make it so they can be locked by single target infernos)
In terms of a defensive strategy placing an inferno wizard in the back of a cc would hamper healers and heal spells making cc lure more important than ever and requiring the attacker to use much more care when and how to use the spell
As an offensive strategy the inferno wizard could be used as an option for getting in and taking rushed bases with heavy infernos, or bases with tight bunched defences centred around the th given the multi target system. They would also force people to consider single target infernos as a viable option since a multi target inferno in a inferno mage go wipe would leave other defenses to open to damage by given golems and pekka more time to tank damage.
I believe the best way to deal with this on a defensive point would be creating more evenly spread defensive bases, reducing the tanking ability of golems and pekka to make the inferno wizard more vulnerable, a slight wider diameter for mortar strike might also help and using at least one single target inferno in an attempt to shut down tanking units and allow your other defenses enough time to take down the inferno wizards before their reduced damage can take down th and other important defences.
(Also I thought about the prospect that inferno wizards would not lock onto inferno towers in much the same way that inferno towers will not lock onto them but I do not know if this would be necessary for balancing or not.)
