War Related: Spectators/New people should be unable to see traps/teslas

There are certain limits to the bumping or necroing which are allowed on the forums, and what Cheeserman did is perfectly fine. People are told to use the search function, but a few months old topic is already considered "dead"? Not based on the forums rules.

While the topic Cheeserman brought up is several months old, the information it contains is suggested again and again in the new topics which are posted in IFR, so necroing this topic falls under the acceptable use of this action.

I think this is a nice idea. It will eliminate a lot of spying. I think no spectator should be able to see traps because in most clans elder is pretty easy to earn and if you are elder it would not put you under the title of "NEW". This would allow you to spy. I also think that CoC could maybe add a feature that allows Co leaders to see the last clan that person was in or the last 10 clans

Thanks for sharing your opinion! I think the last X clans wouldn't be an accurate information to count on, because the player could easily join random clans to hide his original clan, and so when he applies to the clan he wants to check, his list will be "clear" of the opposing clan from war.

But spectators/new players shouldn't be allowed to see what's in the clan castle too! :D

This is a good idea. Players marked new should only see the war bases as the enemy sees them. Closing clan during war is not a option for clans fighting 24/7 - the clan would be always closed. If a clan is stupid enough to give immediatly eldership to a newbie, then be it so, in this special case spying would work. Telling any previous clans won't work because some people have double accounts and they obviously would be in some other random clan. Sharing screenshots is easy in FB or other media. Spying is something that happens irl as well, but discuising yourself irl is much much harder. When a new player joins your clan you can't even tell their age or ♥♥♥ -yet figure you whether they are spy or not!

And what does that change? Then you can try and guess whether someone is spy or not, unless you have outsourced recruiting to the forums and know their player names. Or do you wait for 48 hours and accept them only after the war?

I used to say the same, but if you sit and analyse the situation, you will realise something actually needs to be done because those spies totally ruin the purpose of clans and make it next to impossible to add new recruits during both the preparation days, or during the war day.
Please believe me that I am quite experienced in this game, so if this could be fixed with just putting your clan on Invite Only, then you wouldn't have seen this topic being posted by me.

The fact that these ideas would make it possible to accept anyone you think might fit in your clan without having to worry that they are a spy, this makes it a viable option to include in the game. It would also not cause any damage to the current system and the changes it brings would only help the players feel better and not wonder at every request they get during a war time.
