For players not active in the current war you guys really need to disable trap, tesla, and CC visibility.
Getting spammed by invites from random people and having to reject them all is beyond annoying.
And no, disabling applications is not an option as we have friends in other clans who swap back and forth often to be social.

I assume you mean watching the war log replays from previous wars... If someone wants to sift through a few hours worth of video replays hoping to get trap locations... then they frankly deserve to get the intel. If you are talking about current war replays, I see absolutely no issue with that. They blew an attack to get the CC and trap/tesla location, so that allows the second attack to be more of a strategic hit. That adds depth to the game, making the first hit a general strategy based on base layout, while the second attack is countering a base your clan didnt clear the first time.
As for your concern about only one person seeing the bases... in this day and age of facebook groups, instagram, imgur, etc... sharing screenshots from your phone of all bases, with full trap locations, and even CC intel can be done, and shared in less than 3 minutes.
As for the TH troop level imbalances, look at your clan perks. Clan perks completely counter bringing in TH10 ringers for the troops. At level 10, TH7 or TH8 troops = TH10 troops when donated.
As to your comment about the number of attacks, if you dont use all your attacks, that is on your team to deal with. My clan uses every attack, every time. We war all the time, so it is just routine to use both attacks every other day.
Of course the existing tools are sufficient. At one stage we had 5 clans. That never stopped us from controlling who entered our closed clan and who didn’t.Quote:

Your logic is completely flawed. Yes, replays can be watched. But that costs the enemy clan one attack per base. Looking at a 10v10 war, for example, it costs the enemy a minimum of 10 attacks to expose all traps, teslas, etc. One spy can do the same thing free of charge. Also, if I attack a base with all hogs I will not expose and air bombs, seeking air mines, etc.Quote:

Spies imo don't really work unless the clan just accepts everyone. As long as you know who you're warring with, you know now to accept them.
We've had this a few times, found it quite funny.
Some even leave their clan and ask to join ours after the war.

As said earlier by someone, spying isn't a problem. It's fair, you aren't clever enough to pick them out. It's allowed and part of the game

My clan constantly wars, and also happens to want to recruit. People quit, people don't work out, there are many reasons why recruiting is necessary. If we limited recruiting to times when spies would not be an issue then we would recruit approximately never.
The fact that anyone in your clan can view everyone's war bases is unnecessary, and is the only reason spying works. It would be simple to fix, and would negatively impact only those who practice or rely on spying. I can therefore only conclude that those of you opposed to this idea do so, and I would have no choice but to assume that you do because you can't win in a fair fight.
Let's not get into guessing and assuming what others are thinking. Let alone in an insulting tone. :( Some people have just taken it as status quo and have accepted it as usual S.N.A.F.U. (Situation Normal: All F[oul]ed Up) So anyone they see that 'cries about' the system flaw feels as though the complaints are frivolous. Then when emotions run high, people entrenched themselves even more in thier stance on the subject, and if that keeps up, nothing gets done, and logic gets tossed aside as both sides see the other as stubborn morons (which both sides possibly being correct :facepalm:)
Honestly, I don't know what else to say on this. Mostly because there isn't much to be said. It is a low priority, commonly used, exploit that just hasn't been fixed. Plus the benift of the exploit is questionable at best, which is why it has stayed a low priority.
Setting somekind of flag on players, or a list of who was in the clan before war was started, should help block new people from peaking in, and allow the proper members access to thier member's bases so they can give some helpful advice, regardless of being in war or not.
That shouldn't be too hard to code, but also it would take work to properly debug and test. Supercell has a huge list of things that needs to be done, and have to juggle what gets put into the next batch of updates. This just hasn't been one of those (many things) that they have gotten to.
Well, it's more like people playing the game and it IS part of the game. Just because people complain about something doesn't mean it's bad or a problem. It's not a problem in the slightest. Go spy back, and if they reject you, well... They were smarter than you were... No fix is needed for this "problem" and I hope there isn'tQuote:

This is not true. In a 20v20 war, it takes about 4 and a half minutes. I know from experience. Yes, I have spied before. All these times i have spied WHILE PARTICIPATING IN THE WAR. If you aren't able to notice that one of your opponents in war is the exact same level, TH level, and has the same name as the person who just joined your clan, you deserve to be spied on. Spying is a perfectly fair tactic. Get over it. Spy back. And if you are unable to spy back, that means they are being more strategic. This argument is a stalemate. No one has said anything to convince me it is anything but a low priority system exploit of questionable 'sportsmanship', questionable benifts, which annoyes many* people when dealing with it, and is something that could be fixed with relatively little** work.

The easiest way to block it is just close the clan.
That is a lot effort, or isolation, for a clan to go through, just to stop a person from peeking inside your group. Who is going to keep taking screen shots of other clan's roster? Or whatever 'needs' to be done to protect from a spying threat?

I've actually screen shotted an enemy's clan since the first hour it was a 10v3. So I had to keep in check with that. But yeah the answer is to close the clan and always has been. They do it on all upper level game play.Quote:

After reading 9 pages of nonsensical back and forth arguements i have realised this thread is no longer about war spies but more about 2-4 people talking about getting the last word in and being hypocrites.

This may or may not solve the problem as somebody will eventually find a way around this like logging on from a different acount thats not in clan. Which, now that think about it, renders my idea somewhat useless. Well at least it makes it more difficult to spy.
In the end it all depends on how bad a clan wants to spy. And how much time they want to invest into that pursuit.

A spy is a member of the enemy clan, often times a member who is not in the current war. They request to join your clan and pretend to be genuinely interested in your clan. Meanwhile, they snap pics of all your clan's war bases and post them online for all the enemy clan to see.
Lets set set aside the discussion of whether this should be permitted in war. As leader of my clan, I don't want to give new members full access to my war base. Give me the power to promote a member to elder, at which point they can have visit my base and see trap placement.
We really just want to protect from new members having the ability to spy. So let's have it so new members can't see the bomb placements. If I make you elder in the clan, u are a trusted member and I have no problems with you seeing my whole base. But if I let you in the clan 5 mins ago, why do you get to see my whole war base? Let's fix that!
Please add a feature that allows me to keep my war base private, or simply make it so you have to become a trusted member of the clan, an elder, in order to have full access to my war base
