You offer no solution with your idea. Just like hundreds of other ideas just spamming this forum. It's as bad as ideas posted that has been ruled out in the sticky. If you are going to post an idea or feature request, make it legitimate with the actual solution.

I'm also playing another game where the clans are named corporations. Several corporations can be grouped under an alliance. Spying one another has become a fundamental part of the politics in the game. There are huge scandals that are even posted on the news site as amazing accomplishments and daring plans. Every corporation also has to recruit members and the spies lurking around every corner don't make it easier, but who said it should be?

In the end it just becomes another dimension in your game. A feature created by the community without intervention of the developer.

Now THAT is ideal for spying, and was embraced by the deveolpers and then features made for it.. I'm guessing features were made, right?

Anyway, I said this more or less, a months ago, 'spying is not designing for in CoC. It discrupts passive clan recruitment since counter measures that work also block new members recruitment. Either put in the simple fix to take care of this, or actually put in purpose built spying and anti-spying features'. Basicly, fix it in some way, don't care either way. Right now it is a half-♥♥♥♥♥ thing people exploit, and is causing problems. Either fix it as if it were an exploit, or purposefully add in another layer of detail and allow proper spying.

It is Supercell's call if they want to add a level of complexity to the game, which they tend to avoid, unless it adds something meaningful to the game.

So how is anyone going to suggest improvement on a base with invisible traps? Wouldn't really work out that well. And war spy's are not that big of an issue and iits not hard to know who's coming from a clan and who's part of your clan. You c an always check the enemy clan on their number, screen shot, and if it goes down and that member is missing. Well you already know that hey! He's a spy. Reject.

I don't really see your idea being added because there's better ways to go about the war spy solution. But I'll give you credit for at least offering an original idea.

If you REALLY wanted to prevent spies, just set your Clan to 'Closed'. Makes a ton more sense than allowing people in. I think the idea is good, but the concept of it horrible and broken.

What if there's a member really good at war in your clan but he sat out of war for sometime and is willing to advise others on base design instead?

If this came along, that wouldn't be possible. Traps are vital in war and if he tells someone to put a trap somewhere, and if that someone gets it wrong and puts it in the wrong place, there goes 1 or 2 stars.

You can't have a promotion if you can't manage rejecting requests and how do they even get into your clan? If someone joins during war you should check if they are in the opposing war. Better yet, just don't let them in.

some other ideas you may want to add

1. Stop opponents from watching replays of failed attacks, so they can't learn where your traps are...

2. Stop opponents from attacking weaker members of your clan.... No more TH-10's taking advantage of your TH-8s

3. Don't allow other clan to use more attacks than you do.... Sometimes your players might miss an attack, it's unfair they get extra attacks.

4. Non waring members shouldn't be allowed to donate for war attacks, so any troops donated as part of an army disapear from CC if used in a war ATTACK instead of a regular ATTACK. It's unfair when your opponent has maxed cc tropps when they are TH-7....

im sure you can find other great ideas that will benefit your clans way of playing from others here... Don't waste the rewrite on just one thing...

I don't know about others, but I was thinking new people that came in and spectated after war started got the blocked point of view. Is it that hard to code, and inconvenient for others?

Even before the opt in/out, there was still issues with people that weren't included in the war sneaking in, and for those really 'sneaky'/desperate, could use an alt account from elsewhere.

Plus, filtering out people, especially for young clans is hard, and it only takes one person to open the door for them, especially if the clan has Elder for most everyone. Which does happen. :facepalm:

The easiest way to block it is just close the clan.

That is a lot effort, or isolation, for a clan to go through, just to stop a person from peeking inside your group. Who is going to keep taking screen shots of other clan's roster? Or whatever 'needs' to be done to protect from a spying threat?

Come on Warren ... it's not a mod, it's not developed, it's not code, spying other clans can be done because you are able to join an other clan. It's the advantage/disadvantage of the sandbox concept.
