Who Moderates this forum?

I already have a hard (or harder?) time finding something fun due to dysthymia, and if there isn't anything really rewarding being a Mod, I'd quickly grind to a halt. :( Even if I got paid, it would eventually stop working.

Right now, CoC is stretching my patience.

Clan Wars sucks. I don't know what happened, used to win often before last Winter, and now it is just the opposite, as if a switch was flipped, and no matter what we did, nothing improved things. The other guys, with names we can't even pronounce half the time, do the same kind of raids we do, but somehow much better most of the time, and with temperamental dragons, prone to doing thier own thing.

And let's not forgot the daily insult of one's efforts with a raiding system set up to constantly push people to raid weaker bases for loot for easy 'wins' (yes I do those loot gathering chores too since it is about the only way to operate).

Plus, the worse gameplay ruining feature (besides the Elixir/Wall mess up) that I've seen, still is Dark Elixir holding. More you hold, the less fun the game gets. I feel releived when it gets all dumped into some upgrade. Not enjoyment, or feeling (much) reward, but just glad to be rid of it in a semi useful way.

So yeah, how can I even Mod these forums, especially now, when I'm seriously thinking to be rid of this bad addiction of playing high level CoC? I can't even reliably go back and play the fun part of CoC anymore because that's effectively locked out for me! (sure, get a new device, which only lasts so long) I gave the game more than enough patience, and it isn't living up to the best game app out there. (or if it is, then game apps are in a very sad state)

I'm wondering if the next update is going to be worth the wait. All we heard is you get a name change option... which helps, but not much for gameplay.

Isn't until past page 10 I see 2 day old replies to threads.

Why is it there is so much junk here that I have to go past a dozen pages just to see less than several days worth of posts?! Most of which I'm guessing being effectively spam.

Where are the moderators? I've been here for months, and when feeling able to, reporting/flagging threads for you guys to help you do your job. Yet I hardly see anything going on here.

Yes granted, it is easy to miss deleted threads if there is no notice of the deletion and if the thread wasn't that memorable. But still, the ones I did know I reported, and were clear violations of policy, and didn't think there was much of anything to dispute, they stayed, and stayed, and rarely ever did I run into the error message of a thread being unaccessible (because it was sent to the trash bin, but it doesn't directly say that)

Is the personel that scares? Are Moderators volunteers, or are they hired?

Likely not going to get an answer, since it may not be the kind of bad news forum goers want to hear. :unsure:

Its seeming more and more your post are about mods and it's really irritating. You're being just as counter productive as people posting ideas about a lighting rod. Do some math Warren. How many forums are there? How many mods are there? There's not enough. I myself have spoken to Twister (The head mod of the section according to Daddy.) And it's simple. There's over 1000 reports. And this section gets posted in how often? Theres no way with the limited man power they Have to keep the forums clean. They are simply a volunteer group and I assume they're doing the best they can with the amount of people they do Have.

Sure the rules out ideas isn't updated; but has everyone forgot the fact that's a MOD made thread not a SUPERCELL EMPLOYEE thread? They'll have to send them an idea and then say 100% it's ruled out (as explained to me.) and due to the high volume of ideas here. Imagine that email of just ideas that would be mentioned. That would be unbearable. So rather than post a thread in this section about a mod. Post your little thread regarding them in a direct message to a mod and see if thy can help you rather than stir up trouble regarding mods not doing their jobs.

What can we do? You already said there isn't enough people here to run it. What would singling out a mod accomplish? If anything, there should be recruiting of more mods.

But, that's going to be hard, since finding qualified people willing to do it is going difficult.

This is well said.

My point before is that some of us get borde or and fed up with things here and start making sport with the bad suggestion. Lets face it, its a form of entertainment as we all get kicks out of ach other's one liners. (some of these guys are pretty witty, it makes for a fun read.) I think if moving to a mod role you have to be wiling to totally give that up. Other than that, yeah, you relate more as a regular player, not an authority.

The problem now is that this is simply not being done enough. But if they are not even paying these guys who can blame them? if they are not going to pay then they need to get more numbers so no one person is committing too much of their lives to it.

idk, maybe it'll pass. But the frustration is still there. It isn't just here of course, but a combination of seeing the simple stuff not being taken care of, to the chronic issues that's going to be a royal pain, and a half, to get close to fixing.

Anyway, It would be safe to say that many people here would be really glad if they saw some of the simple stuff get taken care of by Mods.

And I'm going to more or less shutup for awhile. I'm in no state to help much here right now. :(
