Minimum Post Requirement to Suggest Idea's and Features

While bored at work, I have spent a little time looking through some of these requests, some of which include:

Attacking a specific person by name
Attacking someone in your clan
Donating resources to clan mates
Keep troops that live an attack
Add more flags
Allow elixir to upgrade walls at TH8
....
....
....
etc, etc, etc

I have noticed that a large majority, if not all, come from users with less than 10 posts. It may have been brought up before, but it would be a blessing to only allow posts in this forum from people with enough posts that would encourage more people with a better understanding of the game to make suggestions vs someone who made an account to share an insane idea he had with a friend at lunch. Also, it should be required to read the "ruled out sticky" and agree to never post ideas that are ruled out with a penalty of a week long forum posting ban, or something alone those lines. I'd love to read more interesting suggestions and less spam.

There is a certain irony to complaining about reposts and then posting this.

People will be less inclined to join in the first place, meaning someone who has potentially a great idea doesn't share it.

It has been argued over several times before. :rolleyes:

But what tends to happen is people usually agreeing that it will either make new people put off by the restriction, or cause spam from newbies getting thier post count up.

It kind of solves the problem by telling some people they aren't welcome, but that gets countered by the spam from others wanting to post anyway.

I don't see how it will get the point across to read the forum rules and check the ruled out list.

The way to deal with the spam issue is to make it time limited not post limited.

Since this was already suggestions on the larger thread we have been discussing this on I added this link next to where it was stated,

This would just be an excuse for new members to post pictures of their cats until they hit the minimum requirement. SC can't completely protect you from less-than-ideal clashers in the game, in the forums, or anywhere else.

How does that help with the issue? Wouldn't it just makes more not bother, and think that Supercell is a bunch of disorganized idiots?

"Come, join us in the forum!"

"Sorry, you can't make threads here until after X days/weeks."

I'm not bothered by all the posts because the bad ones only take about 5 seconds to read so its not that big of a deal i could read about 10 posts in 5 minutes

It is still the space those threads take up. On a daily basis, there is a few hours where there is a small flood of new threads, which pushes everything that was on the first page to page two or three... and it gets pushed even more from there. Most people don't usually dive that deeply into the page count, and the ones that do, obviously don't do much in bring back up the good idea threads (with "good" being subjective to the viewer).
