i'm a lvl 103 th9 player and I'm,upgrading my walls to 8 now its going good but I thing COC have to consider upgrading walls to lvl 8 also be able with elixer because i need gold to upgrade other things but everything i can do with elixer is maxed so now i have a lot of elixer and nog gold so COC consider to upgrade walls,to 8 using elixer
I also am a th 9 level 103. I found it to be a pain to get all those level 8 walls. The difference was that I did them all at th 8 when there was better loot available for me. It was well worth the wait. I think Supercell is right using level 9 and up walls for elixir no matter how boring and tedious it may take.
Considering Supercell didn't have to do a second emergency update to fix the loot hole they made, I think it is evident that found a workable level for this feature. A feature they regreted almost right away, and likely still, with all these whines for the people that don't know better.
It used to be that you could not upgrade walls at all with elixir. Whey they allowed it, they made it so you could do it too soon. You should thank supercell for allowing you to do your lvl 8 walls to lvl 9 rather than asking them to fix something that is not broken.
I agree with the opener.LVL8 walls cost much gold to upgrade.Even in TH8 most of the buildings need huge amount of gold to upgrade while there are much fewer buildings to upgrade with elixir. Please make it available to upgrade Lvl8 walls with elixir too. Tnx

This is a new one...you're TH9, which means I'm assuming you've been playing the game long enough to know that at one point there was no lix for walls, then they made it for level 8 walls and higher, but had to change it to 9. Now why would they change it unless it created a big problem with gameplay?
As long as you have at least a handful of black walls you'll be able to dump e into level 9 walls when your e upgrades finish, and still use gold mostly for defenses, so suck it up.
I've been putting my elixir outside my walls, just to get rid of it. I had it maxed for 10 days without anything to upgrade. I wash't even focussing on gathering it in the first place! Ridiculous..

This forum is for presenting NEW ideas and requesting NEW features.
However, the feature you're requesting is an old, broken one that was removed because it was found to be defective.
If you were perhaps requesting that they bring back a feature that was previously removed for causing problems, but the root cause of those issues have now changed, this would be different. For example, Supercell removed the waterfall from the game because it caused performance issues. If you were requesting that they bring back the waterfall, you could list reasons such as newer devices are more powerful and able to handle the graphics without causing any problems.
But as for the issue of TH7s and TH8s dumping resources into low-level walls while TH10s have a 75% and 50% loot penalty against them, nothing has changed. Maybe a better suggestion would be to allow walls to be upgraded with elixir at any level, but remove the loot penalty entirely :cool: Not saying this is a good idea, but it's better than the one you're suggesting.
The removal of elixir for level 7 and 8 walls was a step forward toward a better economy. Bringing this broken feature back under the same conditions would be a step back and would only make things worse.
Max Elixer at TH8 is intentional. It allows TH9s to get elixer, removed elixer from the game when more than your storage can hold is raided, and it helps TH10s get loot from TH9s.Quote:
