Shattered LavaLoonion - The Gowiwi LavaLoonion Crossbreed - 3 Starring at TH9

This video is a strategy guide on 3 starring TH9s with Shattered LavaLoonion in Clash Of Clans. This Shattered LavaLoonion consists of the usual Lava Hounds and Loons attack preceded by a small Gowiwi with the aim of defeating the enemy Clan Castle, Archer Queen and at least two Air Defences before the LavaLoonion is released.

Shattered LavaLoonion is kind of like a crossbreed between Gowiwi and LavaLoonion and can work extremely well if both tactics are used to compliment each other effectively. In this instance the gowiwi serves to take care of most of the things that endanger the LavaLoonion, and it is down extremely well in this video to the extent that even though the attacker messes up by double tapping down his Lava Hounds, he still gets the three stars.

Ultimately, it's a really cool attack, especially the beginning (note how he get's the enemy cc, AQ and ADs all in a vicinity of his rage spell so he can take them down extremely quickly), and one that is interesting to watch.

Thanks for the vid!! I am just practicing the shattered myself, I have 3'd all the th9's I have tried it against, and the th10's aren't going so well. Some 2*, some 1* but I'm hungry for that th10 3*.....I know I can do it, it's just a matter of time (K:25 Q:40)

I do have a question though. The 2 witches. That's 24 spaces. Wouldn't those 24 spaces be better used with more wiz/loons/minions?

The only thing I can think of is to get to meet the CC and provide distractions for the heroes and the couple of wiz to smash........perhaps you could confirm?

If you want to be more consistent with Shattered GoLava, try taking 3 Hounds to compliment 2 Golems, instead of 2. There is more detail in the GoLava guide on my channel but it'll improve the probability of getting 3 stars.

I always take 1 more than what AD's will be left standing.

So, if I can take down 2 AD and queen, I'll bring 3 hounds. If I can only get one AD/queen/cc I'll drop a golem and run 1 golem, 4 hounds as 3 AD's will still be up.

You shouldn't have witches in a shattered drop. Typically a shattered drop is only meant to kill AQ and a few key defenses (dgb or point defense with hogs or valks and ADs with Loons) the typical make up is
2 golems
3-5 Wizards
0-3 wall breakers
Then Jump if needed

The clan castle is dealt with a lightning spell and AQ cleans up any remaining troops

Now I suppose in a cold blooded Hog attack you could use the extra 30 spaces for a 212 witch KS but I wouldn't do that with a CB LaLoon, I'd bring a 4th hound or extra DPS (maybe 6 hogs if there is an easy AD they could pick off, or 6 loons)

I completely agree with all of you to an extent. Generally speaking, it might well be better to have taken three hounds and no witches. However, a Shattered LL does not HAVE to conform to the troops you are all suggesting, and that is kind of the beauty of it, you can change it up a little bit.

The mistake in the video I posted was not that there were two witches brought, if you follow them in the battle they actually did a lot of damage and survived right into the centre of the base, the mistake was that the two hounds went on the same air defence from a mistaken double tap. If the lavaloon side of things had been done correctly, it would have been a MUCH easier three star.

That of course isn't to say it is better to take 2 witches and not a third hound, it is simply another method which also works very nicely. I'll try and get a vid up of an attack with three hounds and maybe one with 2 and correct release to see how they all compare!

One more question, if you fellas (any of you) don't mind answering.

Would a single inferno on the queen's side make you think twice about a CB or shattered?

I hate seeing single infernos, and will usually just lavaloonion those bases......

in that situation would it be more useful for a shattered squad to attack opposite queen and take 2 ADs and maybe an inferno then freeze over queen? Or just use shatter to take queen and 1 AD??
Or maybe do a traditional shatter with 2 witches??
Also I've been wondering if six hound attacks work at 10?

I actually love seeing single infernos. And attacking as in the video I originally posted would probably be perfect as the witches minions will negate any effect the single inferno has and you won't even need a freeze for it. Other than that, single infernos are vulnerable to the loons attacking so you would simply perform the shattered / CB from the multi side and the LL from the single inferno side (but I'd prefer the witches - more exciting!)

High level heroes?

I want to give this a try. Except for walls, I have a maxed TH9, except for heroes. My King is lvl 10 and my AQ is lvle 15. How do you think I would do against a king and AQ that are both lvl 20.

IMO, high level heroes help a TON in doing this, as they need to stay alive for as long as possible....

I think you'd be fine to be honest - Obviously having higher heroes would help, but the lvl 20s in defence shouldn't be too much of a problem for you. Your heroes are high enough to the damage if you get them behind the golems. Certainly worth a shot!

To answer your question.... It is certainly doable - but there is a risk (and bear in mind the TH10 here is very weak). :thumbsup:
