PAY fee to leave clan

I suggest players pay a fee when leaving the clan or while in war

Why pay to leave a place you don't like?

So picture this. You are new to clash of clans and you join a clan. Your first war has you a bit nervous but you give it your best shot. And even though you've scouted the base and watched some youtube videos to try and be prepared, you screw up and get 0 stars.

Bummed and embarrassed you look to your clan mates for support and advice. But instead you get a foul mouth tirade from the clan leader. He tells you how bad you suck and says you are a waste of space.

Feeding off their leaders poor judgment, all your clan mates join in and begin mocking you and using foul language to describe your efforts on the battle field.

Now consider you must pay a fee to leave this clan....makes no sense. Or worse, you just spent heavily on some upgrades and troops and cannot afford to leave.

Bottom line, why should someone be tied to a horrible situation?

I like this situation and makes it more clear for the thread starter to understand.

So in the above situation described by Reddigulous - I now want to leave the clan. But I have a fee? I don't want to pay no stinkin' fee.

So instead I start out-cussing the lot of them. Just keep it going so that this is now their COC existence is the ongoing cuss fest in the feed. And then they thought I was bad in a war before, they haven't yet seen nothing yet for 'bad in a war'. I am going to show them the true meaning of war liability. Goblins for everyone. Including one for each of my opponents as I do my attacks. Or even the heck with my attacks. When anyone suggests I do them I cuss back. and so it goes until they kick me. And at that point they would have been better off had I simply left which I would have done instead except for that fee.

Would the leader be able to set the price for leaving his clan?
