I am a max TH8 going to be a TH9 in about a day and I was wondering if I should get all my Walls to lvl 9 before I start any of my defense. Is there any ideal farming ranges and tips once I get into TH9?

You can approach it however you want IMO. I just hit TH9 last week and my plan is as follows. I am working on maxing all my elixir buildings first so I can proceed to dump all my elixir into lvl 9 walls. So far I have already done my army camps, research lab and spell factory. I have a few more research levels to do, my dark barracks and then my DE drills/storage before I am all done with elixir and can proceed to dump it into my walls while I work on my defenses.
For farming range try gold 1-3. I hang out in G2 mostly and use barbs only and I can farm a ton on collector raids.
Offense>defense>walls.
stay in gold 3 - max out lab, spell factory, cc, dark barracks (get hounds asap) and queen to lvl5 in the first 2 weeks. (5builders) after the lab has completed - immediately up the ff: hogs then loons then lavahounds (if you're in a war clan)
gibarch (if you're in a farm clan)
once the builders finish the ups go for camps...after these, go for all economy bldgs...de drills, de storage, gold storage, elix storage, etc. last to go is def...you'll be damn good at war and will never pull down your team since your offense is maxed first and your drills are helping you out with your DE to ups more troops and heroes.
Half of our clan are rushers and half are maxers, and we're all doing great in terms of war and farm by following the same path. wish you good raids!

Depends on your priorities. Do you prioritize war? Farming? Do you plan to sit out wars for awhile while you upgrade? Need answers to all of these first as it completely changes your upgrade process.Quote:

Also depends on your builder scenario. Do you have all 5? 4? 3?
You could build 1 xbow if you like however, but I would highly advise against building both right off the bat as they tie up valuable build time (1 week each) that you will need for other things as a new 9.
Xbows have higher defensive rating so if you war keep that in mind, as you will lack offense for awhile. Lvl 1's also aren't that entirely strong. Though the benefit to building them is even if the initial xbow is still being built you will still have them as an active war defense.
Offense (all elixir related + new storages) > Collectors (gold mines and elixir collectors) > Defenses
Do walls and heroes throughout the entire journey. The others have already given you advice on how to build the first 2-3 weeks.
